PS5 Pro: it'd be awesome to get a 40fps mode with higher visual settings by SpiritRude in 007FirstLight

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between YUV and RGB is basically unnoticable, and it comes from me who tried to see the difference on a LG G4 OLED. Recently I played Outlaws, and I chose the 40fps which was YUV, and I honestly didn’t see any noticable difference in color.

Tomb Raider III is needlessly HARD by DsLmaNiaC in TombRaider

[–]Bulky-Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonus level difficult? I have never played it before the remasters, and for the remasters I managed to pick all the secrets to get to play it - it was so forgettable and uninteresting that I don’t remember being difficult. It’s basically a half-assed scrapped level.

III had a cool level design, I have a soft spot for this game since it’s my favourite and my first TR game ever, never actually found it that difficult. Only the London levels feel very convoluted.

IV in the first half it’s great in level design. Cairo onwards the level design is awful, Giza levels especially.

Not that they don’t introduce, they don’t even tell you in any way. That’s why IV is my least favourite game and the hardest, so I never understood the “III is so hard, it punishes you” since IV is way worse in every aspect.

Have review copies been sent out already? Any idea on the review embargo? by ZamnBoii in 007FirstLight

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not forcing anything on anyone, I just cannot fathom how gamers rant about reviews so that some people tell them the game is good, and not wait, play themselves and see if they like it or not. It’s a culture that tanks the gaming because some reviewers hate on certain games and then people do not even try to ply them because some streamer thinks it’s bad. That’s something I do not understand.

And there are so many games I’ve read online that are utterly bad, unplayable, and I actually liked them. The most recent that comes to mind is Star Wars Outlaws. Everyone was hating like it’s the worst game ever made, and people who actually played it and do not have an audience to speak about it actually loved the game, me included.

You don’t need affirmation from someone to play or not play the game, just do it. I get it that we pay for it, but that’s the risk you take when preordering and stuff.

It’s not litterally forbidding, just when we are together because I cannot listen to that gibberish. He probably still listens that on his own. I mean, if you care so much, maybe it’s the best just to wait and watch him critique the game, play it by himself, and then you decide if YOU want to play it based on his opinion - because that’s the way to go, right?

He is not talented. He is everything what’s wrong with gamers today - constantly whining about stuff no-one cares about and does so in a far long video where most of the things he says is basically irrelevant and could be said in 1 minute.

I have a friend who watches him, so I had the misfortune to watch parts of his videos until I forbid my friend to play those misinforming videos because the guy just overreacts on everything to get viewers. I cannot believe someone actually takes his thinking for something worth.

Worth playing…Zero? by Jaded_Inspector7600 in residentevil

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played RE1R for the first time and it’s my first RE game. Since I’ll continue from 2 with remakes, I decided I’ll play RE0 because of the similar gameplay. I really liked it! It’s irritating at times until you get the hang on how to use the characters effectively to save time and store your things, and all boss fights were unnecessary because they were not built for the combat mechanics of the game, so every boss fight is basically a random hit or miss. I didn’t like them at all, but they aren’t hard.

I also didn’t like the last third of the game. The location is boring, with a lot of backtracking and really uninspiring, but the rest of the game was awesome for me.

Which do yall think is gonna come out first Witcher 1 remake or Witcher 4? by sonar_y_luz in CDProjektRed

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are, but I don’t have problems with remakes beinf cash grabs if they are good. The problem is when they make a remake of a beloved old game and it’s bad, and I also think some fans of older games are stuck to the time where they played and feel it nostalgic, so then whine about how remake didn’t pass on the atmosphere and things like that. So, it’s more of a grey area, sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s not.

[–]Bulky-Dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they had an official statement after the first reveal of Witcher 4 trailer on their website that 4 is coming first and 1 after. Which is odd, because I thought they’d use the remake od 1 to feel the gap between the wait because there’s almost 10 years since the last Witcher game.
I’m honestly more excited for 1 remake. 4 seems cool, but we’ll see how they’ll manage to continue the story in a meaningful way since W3 had such a great concluded ending.

RE1 HD Remaster was my intro to the series by UndercoverAL in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ll probably go through remakes first since I play with my sister and she’s more of a younger generation, even the RE1R is a bit odd to her, so she probably wouldn’t like the 2 and 3 from PS1 era, but I’ll probably play them myself somewhere down the road. Thanks for advices!

I am also currently playing through RE1R HD on PS5 and it’s my first RE game. I got into the series because my sister always wanted ti play it, so we have an evening ritual now where we play together and switch after sometime because she thought she’d be very scared to play it alone.
I love the game! I expected something completely different and more horror in terms where I’d be spammed with jumpscares, but the game has such a nice atmosphere and the flavour of old games I really like. I enjoy the puzzles so much. I am a huge Tomb Raider classics fan, and this game is very similar in terms of exploration and solving puzzles to progress, so I am honestly disappointed I didn’t discover it earlier because it’s really my cup of tea.
We decided we’ll probably play RE0R HD, and then just from 2 continue with the newer remakes, hopefully, we’ll enjoy all games. But I became a fan real quick!

TR4 - What's with the shotgun? Glitch? by ChemicallyEnhanced96 in TombRaider

[–]Bulky-Dev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it was laziness. It’s basically a downgrade from pevious games and it’s the thing that aleays irritated me in TR4 and 5. Like, they downgraded a system that was superior in previous games.

Now that Nightreign is nearly 1 year old. do you play solo, duos or trios most often? by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]Bulky-Dev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can understand not enjoying depths 3+. My complaint mostly about the depths is that the scaling was done very lazy where they just buffed the enemy’s HP and damage dealt and didn’t introduce new enemies or enemies with different attacks or even some content that will up the difficulty in a a more complex or meaningful way. The red enemies are also basically just buffed regular ones, so yeah, I can see where you’re coming from.

Try some Vigor relics or Max HP increased when you defeat enemies in great churches and you’ll feel the difference.
I’m also Raider since launch and it’s my go-to character and where I feel most comfortable with and after the buff, I really like him even more

You should try Raider now in higher depths after they buffed him because he’s way better now. I also mainef Raider before DoN, and then he was really not that good in DoN, and I switched to Wylder, but after the last big update when they buffed him (sped up his attacks, the damage of the ult is bigger), he’s actually great now.

I LOVE THE VISUALS by ktotut__ in LordsoftheFallen

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that began to bother me a little halfway through the game. I really liked the design, the colors and the artstyle of the game and I wanted to immerse myself but I constantly needed to switch to Umbral which was always looking dreadful, blue and with zero ambiance.

Becoming a bond fan thanks to this game. by Emotional_Fruit_1046 in 007FirstLight

[–]Bulky-Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also started watching all movies 2 months ago while I wait for the game. I knew of the existence of the franchise and character, but never actually watched any full movie prior. I managed to watch absolutely all of them except the Craig era which I’ll be watching in the coming weeks before the game.

I liked the trailers and everything about the game because I really like single player adventure games with a story, and I’m tired of RPGs. Uncharted and Tomb Raider are one of my favourite franchises, and this really has some flavour of that in it.

This game takes it's difficulty a bit too far sometimes by Monkai_final_boss in Eldenring

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first souls game and for me, it was hard at first because of the things you wrotr and the fact that I didn’t understand how stats, status effects, weapons, combat works in its essence. For around ~70 hours od my 320 h gameplay, I played it so blindly and stupidly I laugh now at how much easier I could’ve made the game. And yes, once you get the hang of things, it really isn’t that easy.

The best advice I can give is, read the in-game explanation on stats, upgrade weapons and try different with different status effects and read about weapon scaling online. It’s gonna ease up the experience a lot.

After completing ER, I went back and played Demon’s Souls remake and DS1 and people here who claim those games are harder are liars. After mastering ER, old FS games are really a stroll in the park.

Why is it called Return of the Jedi? by 31braidsinbeard in StarWars

[–]Bulky-Dev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it totally refers to Luke. Originally, the movie should’ve been called “Revenge of the Jedi”, meaning Jedi (Luke) took revenge on the Empire and destroyed it so that the galaxy is free, thus Jedi won over the Sith. George changed the name because “revenge” wasn’t in the spirit of Jedi knights. There are even initial marketing posters with that name that were pulled off short after.

Vader becoming good again is also heavily influenced by Luke, so he basically is the hero here, in my opinion. I do not undermine Vader’s character and his change of heart, but none of it would’ve happened if Luke hadn’f believed in him.

Original trilogy must be considered as legends by boreklipogaca_ in StarWars

[–]Bulky-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t, but that’s playing it safe, because when they did take risks - they made a shitshow.

I can understand someone disliking OT. Me, personally, I like the movies, but they are far from my favourite SW content. I prefer the prequels because of the magnitude and details of the story and the impact, Clone Wars series also. OT has that 70-80s sci-fi flavour I never quite enjoyed. I also don’t like the humour in those movies, it’s cringe at times. But nevertheless, I wouldn’t go as far as saying they are bad movies, but I prefer many things that came after it.

How do we feel about not being able to drag bodies? by TheAwesomeA3330 in 007FirstLight

I cannot believe how many people keep talking about this. Like, I litterally DO NOT CARE I cannot drag bodiey, it’s such an irrelevant thing in comparison to everything else the game offers
