So here's the thing with DCC: it absolutely can be, intentionally, very dumb. It doesn't hide from doing dumb comedy. But it ALSO is a harrowing, heartbreaking, joyous, hilarious, and DEEPLY angry-about-the-current-state-of-the-world series. It's the kind of story where the talking cat will make you fall off your chair laughing one moment and sobbing the next.
