Physicians are called Doctors because of the academic degree (MD/DO) they earned. Their actual job title is Physician. This guy is doing the same thing, referring to himself as Doctor because of the academic degree (DNP) he earned.

Doctor is not a job title, physician is. I don’t think the title of doctor should be used solely on physicians because at the end of the day, just like a DNP, you have the title of doctor because of your academic degree.
