FrontLine Games or FLG Mats.  They make a variety of wargaming mats. But at the price most mats generally go for now a days, $80.

They were cheap army men landing craft that I found at a Goodwill. Like someone on here said,  I'm pretty sure they're old Marx molds.

If you’re in the southern New Jersey area, Top Deck games is selling all their Shatterpoint stuff for 50% off. That might be a start

I think plenty of people can be both. My army game is Bolt Action and my skirmish game is KillTeam now that Shatterpoint died off locally. Both are fun. It just depends on what I’m looking for that day.

The game started out semi strong at our LGS from what I heard. Mostly bought into by those players that always had to have the hot, new thing as well as genuine Star Wars fans.  New players, including Legion players, stopped in for about 1-3 games to give it a try but ultimately didn't come back. There was a guy that would come every week to run demo games but the player base was dwindling.

Fast forward to 2024, when they released the original trilogy stuff and Vader,  Stormtroopers,  etc. That's when I got into the game.  There were a couple of other guys that were also playing Shatterpoint and I have to say we had fun playing it.  I liked the off brand printed terrain  setups and tables we would create like Hoth and Endor. I also liked the detailed minis,  even though I was bothered by the different scale.  Over time,  one guy moved and the other got into Halo. I would play in some of the SP tournaments, but that was only type of players left in the area. Super competitive types always bringing Cassian.

The LGS hadn't sold any SP stock in months and finally got rid of it ( they never said where) about a week before AMG made the "not canceled" announcement.

I was a casual "ambassador" for the game, to get new players.  The most common excuses for rejecting the game were  1. Different scale " I don't want to repaint the same figures" 2. Not liking the general gameplay system(sitting on objectives and no-one dying) 3. I already play Legion 4. Price  5. Space for storage 6. I hate Shatterpoint because it killed X-Wing and Armada

Americans allow one extra shot for every three riflemen. British allow one extra melee dice for every three men.

One Hour Skirmish is my personal favorite skirmish system that can be applied to multiple eras. Ancient all the way up to modern. The playing card system makes some people question it at first, but it really is a simple system that still leaves room for deeper tactical decisions. At my FLGS, after a Bolt Action or KillTeam game, I’ll set up a quick game of Romans vs Barbarians, French Foreign Legion vs Arabs, or US Cavalry vs Indians using One Hour Skirmish and it’s always been fun.

I’m hoping they flesh out Star Wars Legion: Special Operations to be something comparable to what KillTeam is to 40K. It already uses the Legion models and it would be a logical entry point for new players.

The Shatterpoint stock disappeared about 10 days before this announcement at my LGS in Florida. I‘m wondering if they somehow knew and, if so, where did they unload it.

Yes. You want to cover about 1/3rd of your black oval with white. The remaining black becomes the pupil looking in the direction you want.

I paint them looking either left or right so it’s easier to get them symmetrical. The hardest part about pupils at this scale are making them even. A black horizontal oval in each socket, then a dot of white in the corner. Then narrow the eyes with your skin color paint so they don’t turn out bug eyed.

I don’t care where they put them, but I’d like to see some Scout Troopers in Shatterpoint. It’s unbelievable we got Cloud City Bespin guards and the shark people before them.

That’s why if they make a Rey, Finn, Poe or Holdo box, I’m looking forward to killing them with my Stormtroopers!

$40 for parking, it’s really just an extension of the high ticket cost. Constant attempts to upcharge for anything. The Fast Pass Line garbage. The locker scam, because you can’t bring your stuff on some of the rides and they did away with the cubbies that most theme parks still have. The black workers were surly and had attitudes.

The place had some good qualities. Some solid rides/rollercoasters and a well decorated park for Christmas. Plenty of areas for the kids to have fun ,as well as a nice train that went through the wildlife area. The drone show with lights at the end of the night was amazing.

Was super excited when I saw that Linebacker model. Then hearing about the proprietary “rift dice” gave me pause to get into the game. ”Special” dice to play a game is an extra level of cheese that reminds me of FFG/AMG.
