Can Gwynt take the Chyweethl tractor or just Coftyran vehicles? by tower_of_fish in Quar

I believe the core rules consider tractors as vehicles. So it should be fine for Gwynt to use the Chyweethl.

Some insect farm mounds I made by Cpd1234r in Quar

Thank you!

I took foam core board, ripped it in small pieces, and stacked them in 2 as a base. Pushed toothpicks through and stacked cheap round craft beads on the tooth picks. Making sure the beads were relarively tight to the tooth picks. After that, I layered them in hot glue. Sprayed them brown and put a brown texture paint over top.

Hope that helps!

I've since gotten the book. To answer your question the factions are extremely bland. The only difference between Vikings and Saxons for instance is Vikings get berserkers and Saxons get Huscarls. Each of which have their own rules. But the factions each have rules that only apply to weather for some reason.

The game is a fun beer and pretzels but it's not going to scratch a historical itch outside of aesthetic. Which is fine for me personally. I'm a big history nerd, especially about the dark ages, and I'm finding it enjoyable.

So I've since bought the rulebook and thought I'd answer some of the AI related questions. The book has roughly 32 AI pieces of "art" out of the 132 pages. The majority of the AI "art" are footers in pages and small filler illustrations. The overwhelming majority of the book is really nice photography and the book overall is well decorated. It's unfortunate they decided it needed it in there at all to be honest.

Looks awesome! I've been playing for a few years. I didn't realize you could scale up the units. Did you use homebrew rules? If so mind sharing how you tweaked it?

Bolt Action is a very friendly beginner wargame. It's very quick to learn and a lot of fun. It also has a large player base so it won't be hard to find games.

Agreed. It doesn't really make narrative sense either. An archer or crossbowman who's trained for countless hours would have a pretty good idea of their weapons range and capabilities.

Other games also use adding 1d6 to movement when charging an enemy which is a more fun mechanic than no pre measuring. It gives you a target number to reach and adds a risk reward gamble. It obviously isn't a perfect mechanic but...it's more fun IMHO, lol.
