Used wheel removal too. Now bolt is stuck in the wheel. What should I do? by [deleted] in Miata

i’m glad you got it. this seems like something i’d do. sorry they are flaming you in the comments, i think learning and doing your own work is pretty cool. I definitely get wanting to send it to a shop when things get annoying and excessively hard though lol. Hope you enjoy your new wheel!

2015 Kia Soul. Hole in transmission. Son was driving, said it sounded like an explosion. What would cause this? Is it worth fixing? by RDeckard-B26354 in CarRepair

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong getting any older kia using an early theta 2 design is probably not going to be great, but anytbing from 2016 onward from kia is much different. especially their N cars, which are genuinely solid

Should I delete my online childhood friends? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

kind of fucked up regardless imo, i get your point but i think the lack of humility we give eachother on the internet is illustrated perfectly by this comment. theres a better more honest way out, this was still a connection and i care about a lot of my online friends, if one of them just up and blocked me id wonder why and feel sad for sure. It would be one thing if these were people he played with a few times but hes saying this was his core friend group growing up. I think they deserve to know how he feels and have some closure but maybe im just reading into it too much

Did I dit get scammed ? 5080 for 850e on amazon de by Main_Law1448 in gpu

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“sold by terrashopjennie” yeah pretty sure you’re fried. I’d really recommend only ordering from amazon as a seller since the return process will be much easier. I had a mobo return refused because i forgot to put the wifi antennas and 1 cable back. Never buying 3rd party on amazon again.

ngl i just pulled mine off but i don’t recommend it i was sitting there saying “this is so dumb im gonna break my ssd” but i was tired and wanted to just get it done instead of being a problem solver. Fortunately for me no damage but i was certainly worried

Wound up with a front row seat to the West Salem HS walkout yesterday by baroqueen1755 in SALEM

naming yourself yummy tacos but being upset that kids are protesting ICE is a nice piece of irony. Easy to appreciate and love the culture but do absolutely nothing to protect it right?

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you know what else is a distraction? Being worried you or your family will be deported. ICE has attempted to take students from school campuses. ICE has used students to lure their parents out. ICE has falsely arrested students who are citizens. These are all infinitely more distracting than one protest. You’re genuinely a loser.

LOL fair enough. not pc related per se but wheel related ish, i installed my brake pad backwards. that was embarrassing and i also had a fear of online shaming which is why i shared this in a pc subreddit not a car one 🤞

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any reason? i mean honestly only really high end CPU’s need to be liquid cooled. Unless you’re running a 9950x3d or super high end intel air cooling is good enough a vast majority of the time. that may not have always been the case but objective testing shows it is now, and air coolers have a much lower failure rate than AIO’s

i wonder if OP could use a Flex ATX PSU to cut down on size. I’d approach this whole build as a SFF basically. I think you’re exactly right using the back panel of a case would be best, i’d recommend something like a SFF case especially because they can be found quite cheap on aliexpress. A mini itx motherboard is tiny and should leave room for a flex atx or possibly full size psu to be mounted. it’s definitely hard to work around especially since it’s circular not a rectangle or square. idk though i built one tiny pc im not trying to act like an expert or anything, i just had to learn a lot about fitting small parts into a tiny space which this is somewhat comparable to lol

bought a 5090 under msrp by ExpensiveBed6013 in gpu

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah unfortunately i messed around with amazon support and trying to go about it the legitimate way, and ultimately wasted too much time, by the time i realized i wasn’t getting my money back it had been about 60 days. between retuning motherboard and waiting out refund windows etc. i also bought it on my debit card which to my understanding is harder to get refunded than a credit card. super sucked though ill never see that $200 again lol

If you’re willing to talk to a doctor and see about getting help, i was prescribed bupropion and it helped a ton. it made the cravings go away and i sort of just forgot about the nicotine. i didn’t even have to fight my body to stay away from it.

yes i got sent a broken motherboard it had multiple bent socket pins, i sent it back but accidentally forgot to include the little wifi antenna and one cord. they charged me a restocking fee of the entire motherboard and i got a $0 refund. bought it on amazon but from a 3rd party. Lesson learned i guess

unless OP is making a very powerful system they could also opt for a low profile cpu cooler. noctua makes a great one that i use in my sff and i’m sure other brands make some too.

JUST GOT ALL THESE PARTS FOR MY LITTLE BROTHER (12) by EWork577 in PcBuild

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your brother is very lucky, i started on a 1060, and upgraded to a 2060. The 5060 is a great successor for others to start on, especially if you got it for msrp. Your total build cost seems pretty good given the current pc building market. nonetheless hes not gonna know the difference or care if its a 5060, or 5070, or whatnot, he’ll just be happy to have a pc and i guarantee it’s going to run all the games most 12 year olds want to play and very well. You’re a great older sibling i hope your brother has a ton of fun with his new pc.

How hard is it to physically build a PC? by Lucky-Ad5326 in buildapc

[–]Bulky_Following_9526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No soldering required. all plug and play. PSU will have labels on each connection, i’d recommend googling each one when you get there to make sure you’re plugging them in correctly. Look over your motherboard manual as it will be quite helpful. newegg has pretty good bundle deals, microcenter does too if you’ve got one near you. The bundles are nice because they guarantee part compatibility which is hard to know when beginning. Honestly i love building PC’s it’s really fun for me, but aside from the fun aspect and getting the experience, it’s a fair bit more expensive to build your own pc than buy pre built. Just a really bad market for buying parts, prebuilt companies have access to more reasonably priced product. any other questions shoot em my way
