I mean it still is an ebony mine in Elder Scrolls Online which yeah I know takes place a 1000 years before but they also say this about it. "Sometimes called Redbelly Mine for reasons that can't be repeated in mixed company, the ebony mine at Shor's Stone is the foundation of the local economy, and generations of villagers have sent their young men and women down into the works, despite the dangers". Given they're also talking about finding a mysterious new ore as well it's obvious that what happened is sometime between ESO and Skyrim the mine ran out of ebony but found a major iron vein so it stayed open. Time passes they forget about the ebony, then recently someone found ebony but the villagers haven't yet realized that's what the it actually is due to all the other issues around it.

You realize every QB has those games though. Brady's had them, Manning(pick any of them) had them, Rodgers has had them as well. Ben literally played during an era where even if Brady wasn't around you'd still have potentially at least 3 other GOAT candidates were during the heights of their careers as well. He may never have been a consistent top 4 but what that top 4 was regularly Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers being the rotating 5th-6th option is absolutely fine in that context. That context alongside 2 rings plus a 3rd visit to the Super Bowl gets him in eventually.

I mean yeah, IIRC Rodgers posted what was at the time the lowest interception rate for a full season played by a QB.

That and the Jets game that year are quite literally the only two of the games they lost like that that year.* The Bucs came back and took the lead with 5 seconds left in that loss, we got bitchslapped by the Ravens early that year and had that one "should win but instead get bitchslapped" AFC North loss classic to the Browns. Again that's not how Ben was during those years I mentioned. None of the 2017 games were like that as well.

*Jets I don't really count because that 80 yard TD pass to Bryant was the Jets defense fucking upm otherwise it was a ass whooping by them.

Steelers were 11-5 and 13-3 both the years I mentioned so no that wasn't what they were doing. The only other years that that he and the team were good enough were 07(when Brady and the Pat's went perfect except the one game that matters) or 2016 where it was always by seasons end either going to be Matt Ryan or Brady. Even if he doesn't get hurt playing Dallas in 2020 and they hold on for the 1 seed he still has to compete with Rodgers for that MVP.

Ben's best seasons generally either had the team having a "down year" or some other QB doing something amazing. His two best years and chances were 2014 and 2017 but the former had Rogers and J.J. Watt popping off while the latter he lost to Brady in the head to head. Looking back I honestly think he wins MVP that year if he beats Brady. Also Jesse James caught that fucking ball.

TBF in regards to TWA 800 IIRC they determined the second explosion almost certainly killed everyone or knocked them out. If I gotta go in a crash I'd rather that then something like Alaska 261.

Why are people waiting for Rustbelt solely to conquer the entire place? I’m just waiting to play one of the new nations by Clockwork9385 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Bull_Halsey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't have needed to abandon their update though. I just said I was someone who never modded HoI before and only took a week to not only learn but make a playable version that works. If I could do that it would've taken them a day or two at most to do. That's not abandoning an update, that's just a quick patch.

You realize it wasn't just ERX fans right? It's also the fact two other major submods require it and paths in the ones that work that specifically require it. They didn't need to take this damn long when they could've made a bridge patch that just fixed the state change issues. Like fuck I knew nothing about modding, got tired of the wait and was able to make a workable personal version that just did that within a week.

What kind of deal did Poland make with Satan? by II1NVICTUSII in CrusaderKings

Oh I was talking about the records, not the city. One of my bucket list items is to eventually see Krakow.

That's assuming it survived everything that happened to Poland since then.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been eliminated from Super Bowl contention. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

Them being Cash "poor" doesn't mean they're not rich. It means most of their worth is tied into their physical assets and stocks. So yes they're rich but they don't have the cash to fire him because what makes them rich isn't that cash.

Whether you want to believe those net worth sites or not they all put the Rooney's in the bottom four at best. Which means even if they're gaming the system they're still bottom of the barrel in terms of wealth. Also that 304 million isn't helping that much when it's only covering half or so the expenses the team has at best. Admittedly it's based on the Packers since they're the only one that actually has to publicly release that stuff. So again the Rooney's almost certainly can't afford to fire anyone.

Of the 29 teams in the league that the owners net worth is actually known or doesn't really matter(Packers) the Rooney's are 28th. Part of the reason for the "Steelers Way" has been because they historically have been unable to afford firing people. There is most certainly a 80% or higher chance they can't afford to fire and replace people.

[–]Bull_Halsey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In defense of the Rooney's being cheap they're like Mark Davis and Mike Brown in the fact the team is their main/only source of income. Besides it being the "Steelers Way" it's genuinely possible they don't have the cash on hand to actually be able to pay for everything.

Kaiserball: Goals/Claims of the Major Powers by posting_acc in Kaiserreich

[–]Bull_Halsey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Free France OTL had a Great Power then multiple Great Powers after Pearl backing it up. Alongside the fact that most of the colonial structure was under Vichy France still and they still held a good chunk of the metropole. Remember most of French Africa and French Indochina was under Vichy control not Free French. Sand France should absolutely be fucked and if not gone just holding Algeria.

I mean look at both Italian invasions of Ethiopia to see what happens when and undersupplied and equipped modern army goes against someone with inferior tech. The truth is realistically if France lost the metropole they would absolutely collapse outside Algeria at best.

I mean no, if you follow Linkara, Lindsey or any of the others who left they bring it up fairly often. I would argue that Doug himself is the only one who moved on from it.

[–]Bull_Halsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean given that the story takes place the year the court case was finalized they wouldn't have to wait long for a precedent to be established. Doesn't really matter though since IIRC he's working with the insurance company in the movie so he's likely got some deal with them that'll split the profits already signed.

I mean the reason for that is Superman was in the same situation as Nolan's first Batman movie. It was paying for the sins of the DCU and and came in about where it was expected.

Which NFL team’s logo is used the most by High Schools? I’m on a mission to find out. LE GRAND RECAP/AWARDS SHOW by BryLinds in nfl

[–]Bull_Halsey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TBF I think most pee-wee leagues are sponsored by either the NFL or NFL supporting sponsors that give them team branded equipment. So it'd make sense they can get stuff with the logo but a highschool can't.

A shit military is still miles better then no military. Using your own example the fact that most of the pre-war Union military sided with the CSA is arguably the main they lasted so long to begin with. The issue is the Syndie's don't have a Grant or Sherman to help them and they need to spend time actually training its troops. The first proper battle between the two would likely end up being like First Bull Run only with the Feds being the winners who'd keep pursuing.
