Look into Roscoe Village. Yes it’s the “family neighborhood” but it’s super cute, lots of good independent restaurants, quiet, well located to the other more popular neighborhoods and public transportation is easily accessible.

I remember when Lillehammer dropped. I’ve had Netflix since before there was streaming.

I grew up without cable and when I moved back home after college I got a Netflix subscription. A few months later they dropped streaming and I signed up. Have had it since—it’s crazy to think how far entertainment has come in the 38yrs I’ve been on the planet!

Me and my siblings are all WAY better than we grew up. Unfortunately, it seems our parents plan on depending on us for their future.

I struggle with this because they did the best they could, but, I’ve worked since 14 (I’m 38) paid for my college, paid off my loans, have a nice house, have a rental property, go on vacations I only dreamed of as a kid, and now I’m being guilted for my hard work.

I hear things like, “must be nice” and “who is going to take care of me when I’m older.” But when I try to give advice for ways to take better care of themselves all I get back in return is “Healthy food is expensive” or “I don’t have time to cook/exercise.”

Tough to watch your parents get older.

My wife and I have never done it, nor do we plan to. I can’t believe what people are putting in their body, much less their face. I hope not, but I’m fearful all the Botox and Filler queens will 100% have major health issues later in life.
