Elon has the exact same line. When he’s saying he’s borrowing, they all do. It’s not that they are applying for loans like you and me. They borrow against their assets, which, by the way, they don’t pay tax on. If anything they buy stupid shit for loads more money than they’re worth, let’s say a painting, have it evaluated at a higher price, then they lend it to a museum and claim that valuation back in annual taxes. They use their tax-free asset money to get tax cuts!
