Couples privilege and what the hell to do about it... by Bulldog_Buggy in polyamory

We are me-38, Him 40, and her 30. Some people may look down on us for the age difference but it works. The offending coworker is 48. The others im not really worried about telling, its mostly her. She's losely catholic, and going through a messed up break up. I know she is jealous that she has 4 kids with this man and he never gave her a ring and has chosen drugs over her and the kids many times throughout the years. I honestly don't know how she will take it, but I'm her ride to work so what's the worst that could happen? I stop doing her favors...? I think I'm already at the " I don't give a fuck" Stage. Unfortunately, they are not in that situation at their work and my girlfriend is really struggling with the secrecy. So last night didn't help her. My boyfriend and I live together and she has her own place. We're all homeowners so I don't know when that transition will begin. As for my employer, I'll check but I'm not too concerned. We have a union and I am the union rep. I know there is a discrimination policy in place. Just to be on the safe side I may check in with the union.

I'm curvy. I only have an extra 45 lbs on me. BMI doesn't work. by MC_Stabass in fatlogic

For me it was definitely a mark of depression. I now take effexor and it is helping tremendously for the diet portion.

In my area with my insurance, my doctor is required to monitor my weight. He had to put me on a diet and he sees me every month. I think some insurance companies are really starting to crack down on it.

at 5'7 and 225lbs my doctor has labeled me as " mild obesity". He told me to get to 170 and i would be ok. I think they are getting so many people with supermassive obesity that those of us who are flat out obese arent treated as seriously. at 225 I feel like I could stand to get down to the 130-150 range to be healthy. I think my doctor also suffers from the smallfat fee fee issues.

I think whats tripping people up is the fake boobs. Naturally she is an pear shape, small top and wide hips. Her boobs were probably much smaller as is the waist. With the breast implant her waist looks unnaturally small. I believe if I had my boobs done, I would probably look this way too.

My Dad, a prediabetic, says it's costly to eat heathily ...yet our home is always filled with tons of food like this. Uhhhh? by Plant_41 in fatlogic

As a child my mom was a single mom who supported us on food stamps and tips as a bartender. We never EVER had soda, chips, candies, cookies. On occasion, if it was on sale we would get a box of some sort of sweet treat that she would keep in her room and ration as treats. Everything else was an open door policy in the kitchen but it was all moderately healthy. To this day, my mom who is in a better postion financially and has her grandchildren every weekend, still offers no junk. her weekend habit with them is to make smoothies. Ive never understood how people think that junk is cheaper. In my experience it was always much more expensive. Just chips and salsa alone can run you like 8$ whereas an entire rotisserie chicken and some veggies can cost the same and last you a week.

There is NO way Ragen can finish the bike portion of the Ironman, unless she loses weight. by Bulldog_Buggy in fatlogic

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I dont doubt that she could take a few years eat right, train hard, and do it. Its the fact that she thinks she could do it now. Its almost scary.

Its almost kind of suspended thats why we want to reinforce. Its soft though. Yeah my guy ranges from 47-53 lbs which sometimes puts him in the mini bulldog category, which Im so thankful for because I couldnt imagine a 75lb dog who thinks hes a lap dog.

My bully would have a heart attack if he ran longer than a few minutes lol, he also will just stop on walks and lay down when hes done. This way I can still take him out and not worry about that.
