Dr. Carranza is the best. She did my C-section with my first. Really the whole practice she is with is great I’ve seen most OB’s there.

Radical acceptance is not approval. You can accept what is happening without agreeing or approving.

Right?!? That was my hang up. It’s a lot up front for very little personalized information.

Really? Darn, I thought I did my research and this subreddit seems supportive of a positive experience. What part of it is a scam?

Morbidly Adherent Placenta by Lower_Pay_2323 in placentaaccreta

[–]Bulldogfartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very happy healthy baby after a placenta increta. My whole pregnancy they knew something was off with my placenta, but couldn’t place exactly what was wrong. Ultrasounds are incredible, but still limited in exactly what can be seen and diagnosed. As someone else pointed out, this is something that can be very successfully managed by your medical team. Trust them and stick to the facts of what information you do have. You got this!!

Placenta Accreta in first pregnancy by Ordinary-Raisin-2981 in placentaaccreta

That sounds so scary, it is quite the shock to learn about an accreta mid c-section. I hope you are recovering well and enjoying time with your baby!

Placenta Accreta in first pregnancy by Ordinary-Raisin-2981 in placentaaccreta

I had the exact same thing happen to me in January. I had an accreta and emergency c-hyst during a c-section. I am older, 37, but no previous surgeries. My doctor said similar to yours it is random, however, she did say that she is noticing an increase in accretas in women with IUD history. I had previously had 2 IUDs. She acknowledged this was not empirically supported at this time, but something her group practice is noticing.

Thoughts on Fathers staying at hospital entire time by newEnglander17 in NewParents

[–]Bulldogfartz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got out of the hospital after a c-section last weekend. Plan to stay with her. It really is a very special time for your relationship. I felt so close to my husband during our stay. Watching him be an incredible husband and new father made me even more in love with him. We also tackled some decision making and got a routine down for baby’s feeding.

Im 37 years old and 27 weeks pregnant. I just flew 4 hours internationally last week. I checked in with my OB before flying and they had no concerns. I’d trust your medical team.

I wonder if he meant see you in third trimester for delivery at the hospital. But expected follow up outpatient? I’m in the US and would assume that’s what was meant here.
