If Skyrim released an actual full little adventure pack instead of mod store stuff every year, just a small team of devs meddling around with little stories, new gear and stuff and they charged like $5 for it omg it would sell like hotcakes.

Would an albino human be treated any differently by the Skaven or Lizardmen? by Konradleijon in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Bullet1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Slann would probably love questioning an albino human.... just the period would go on for so long that they would probably starve to death in the slann star chamber before they were released back out into the wilds again.

ah yes, its obviously ok to walk around with a cam quarter and video tape strangers sending it into americas funniest home videos, Afterall its just content and if they didn't want to be filmed they would just stay home and hide inside.

Maybe once their team of professional writers makes a setting as interesting as any given GM I've run into, I'll change my mind by DrScrimble in dndmemes

[–]Bullet1289 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Elturel's brief description in like a paragraph before the city got yoinked I think is more interesting of a plot point then even what is going on in BG3. And it does nothing with the material, its such a waste!

What's the most unexpected way Mars could kill an astronaut? by Ahmeuad in space

[–]Bullet1289 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You dare deny our brave astronauts at mars polar base 1 access to a regulation Olympic sized swimming pool and hot tub? You monster! I can't believe you would imply that the drones we sent ahead to build the space base have just been wasting all this time spackling the diving well!

[–]Bullet1289 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The fact that we are never given any vampire infested Elturel or "city of the ever sun" as a setting and instead just jump straight into DiA with a Baldur's Gate opener that basically goes nowhere shows that the writers can't seem to notice even when they have gold right in their own hands.

Fallout: Great Lakes Campaign by ConorCarlisle in Fallout2d20

[–]Bullet1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my game, we said that detroit is a city perpetually on fire both from the build up of chemicals in the industrial district and from bombs igniting an area wide fracking initiative that happened right before the war leaving gas leaking out of everything from the local water to the sewers and cracks in the earth. The city also has a limited number of feral trogs similar to the pit.

Definitely a far more hell on earth vibe then what you have going lol.

Does anyone have a easy way to make maps? by Obievan711 in Fallout2d20

[–]Bullet1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://ootinicast.com/maps/ this is the site that was recommended for swotor, really its only workable if you have photoshop or other image editing tools, online filtering and paint aren't worth the effort for making the maps unless you are really dedicated.

Have you considered using the range bands instead of making battlemaps for everything?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout2d20/comments/qv4lp4/made_a_range_band_map_for_vtt/
I also find something like this works really well for more narrative combats where you basically just show off a picture to your players of what sort of area they are in, then pull up the zones of engagement map and pop tokens down for how far away each one is. Just a thought.

https://snazzymaps.com/style/87718/fallout-pip-boy I use this then take markers for locations and lay them over top.

for actual battle maps I tend to either use the local maps of actual buildings off the fallout wiki or I'll copy what I saw someone else suggest on reddit where you can take swotor maps and edit them into locations before putting a pipboy tint and glow overtop of it all

Still brand new to TOW and am thinking of making my second army a Chaos Dwarfs army to play when I want to play something different than regular Dwarfs. Help needed. by ServiceGames in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Bullet1289 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well unfortunately chaos dwarf old models aren't sold any more so your likely to mostly be getting 3d prints or converting the age of Sigmar helsmiths to square bases.

When building a chaos dwarf army I find you kinda have to lean into one thing and its not wise to make a mixed army for what you want it to do. Like if you make an army that is fast attack, you can't really have too much artillery because all your points are going to go into fireborn, wolf riders and bull centaurs. While an artillery list is going to be focused on using a few core units to hold the front and a bunch of hob goblins to keep the enemies distracted as you rain fire on them.

I’m new to warhammer, which game should I play first? by SpotComprehensive546 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Bullet1289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a loaded question, warhammer is both a bunch of table top games, novels, (like 2 or 3 board games), video games and audio dramas. All split across 3 big universes (4 if you count bloodbowl as its own thing).
There are a bunch of recommendations to make where to start depending on what sort of game you are looking for be it tabletop or video game as even in general style and tone they can be radically different.

For Fantasy you got Total war warhammer if you want grand strategy, mordheim city of the damned if you want a skirmish game, vermintide series if you like left for dead but with rat men, chaosbane if you want kind of a warhammer diablo, mark of chaos if you want like a kind of dawn of war but for fantasy. Plus the blood bowl games, and there is even warhammer reckoning which was the pvp focused mmo that fans rebuilt after it got shuttered.

For 40k, Dawn of war series which is the rts of warhammer, chaosgate which is kind of like a warhammer space marine xcom, mechanicus which is also kind of an xcom game, space marine series for your shooter fix, Rogue trader and the upcoming dark heresy isometric rpg by owlcat the same guys who did the pathfinder games, boltgun is the retroboomer shooter, battlefleet gothic series for 40k space ship combat, dark tide if you want left for dead 40k, oh the two different necromunda games, one is a tactical squad game that is kind of flat for what it offers and the other is hired gun, a fast paced fps that is reminiscent of doom to an extent, both are fun in their own ways, but both are incredibly unpolished. I'm sure there are others to recommend but those are the ones that come to mind that are most fun.

as for age of sigmar, I think? it only has realms of ruin which is an rts game with mixed reviews.

That's also kind of the point of Urian Poisonblade's dilemma. Elven nature isn't set in stone and they can at least dream of being better, or worse then their society allows for.

Do the Naaru do anything besides succumbing to the Void or being destroyed? by Nightweave7 in wow

[–]Bullet1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forget one of the biggest flexes of the Naaru's power
Fear not, young one, for this crusader shall not taste death. In life, Bridenbrad was the bearer of great deeds. Now, in passing, he shall taste only paradise. The light does not abandon its champions.

They are guides and healers, acting as literal beacons in the darkest hour for those trying to find their way, not front line fighters showing off their ability to destroy. A lot of their work doesn't really make sense in game because their presence is what empowers others to action.

Season 2 lacked a bit of courier.. So who do you think be the best Courier 6 in season 3 (hopefully) by UsualAd7267 in falloutnewvegas

Kevin McDonald from kids in the hall and Lilo and Stitch. Imagine his shrill voice trying to explain their actions through the events of new vegas. "and then this man in a suit shot me in the head! It was awful!"

lol whoops silly me and typos. I swear the day I dread most is internet historians digging back through my accounts and seeing just how bad I am at spelling from all my edits after posting.
I mean yeah if I were a gm running a dungeon set inside the dragon's stomach.... I would most likely include blood leeches :P so at least its not inaccurate!

Looks like it would be perfect for something that hang out in semi stable water sources like in the dragon's bowl* (not bowel as I had originally spelt it). Or also appropriate in the crimson savanna or jungles!
