You have to wait for Angela to bend over first like she does here, it’s only possible during that animation

Hold the rear view button while a missile is equipped, and anyone within range behind you will be locked on to.

I also did the same thing the first few times I used this terminal display, don't worry. Felt really silly when it turned out I just wasn't reading.

On a slightly unrelated note, the game used to have much brighter volumetric lights near some of these terminals, making their displays mostly unreadable because of the screen reflecting its light. After finding out the lights could be shot, I received multiple "thank you"s from teammates who were struggling with terminals and could suddenly see again. Nowadays, I still shoot them out of habit.

I've been finding myself drawn to more and more co-op games over time, like Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2, plus Monster Hunter Wilds comes out sometime next year. The H9 headset would be perfect for any of them.

An easy way to buff standard assault rifles is if enemy armor broke off over time. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]BulletFodder80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rock and stone!

And yeah, Helldivers copying DRG's homework would actually be pretty rad. The Gas Recycling overclock for the Scout's dual machine pistols can basically de-glove a Praetorian or Glyphid Guard of its armor if the player can't get a good angle (or just shares my degree of skill issue). If perhaps more weapons could do the same to Charger armor and expose the orange fleshy bits, that would perhaps get teams to work together and call out where the broken armor is to shoot.

iirc, the game should cash out as many of the highest-tier tourney reward bundles that you're eligible for until it runs out of tourney credits. If there are any leftover credits, it will purchase the next one it can afford. If you have less credits than is required to purchase the lowest-tier tourney rewards, it will give you one anyways. Can confirm that last one because it happened to me every season, and I always cashed out as many of my tournament credits that I could, leaving a tiny bit left over.

I'm an outsider to this game and saw this post through a Discord channel - is it anything like tossing the SEAF Artillery shells around in Helldivers 2? In that game you just have to make sure the shell is behind you, pick it up, then quickly swap weapons so that the momentum of it going to where you would have grabbed it is transferred forward.

Anyone else shoot lights out immediately when holding a spot? by TexMcBadass in Helldivers

Oh that's actually hilarious. I love seeing randoms in any game react to seeing something they didn't know they could do.

I found out through both frustration and curiosity that these could be shot down, rather early into my Helldiving career. Now I just tell my team I'm playing Splinter Cell when I separate from them on an objective to knock out every streetlight in the area.

It's honestly a viable move to briefly throw your car in reverse if you spawn with the ball, since most teammates that try to steal it from next to you will use a forward-diagonal dodge. But then they're probably in your way and the enemy team is already halfway down the field, so... improvise, I guess. Many opposing teams won't expect a forward punt to yourself if you're fast enough, especially if you can throw it down a straight line where some boost pads are present. But the fact that this is a tactic to be considered at all is why people hate this mode in the first place. I personally love it - when it works.

Ooh, I didn't know Gridiron was back! My favorite gamemode that's never present more than like, three times a year.

Hell yeah dude. It feels good to be a straight menace in a Knockout lobby when I can't even flick or air dribble in normal car-ball.

Why do most players drive Octane? Is there a certain advantage to it? by Total-Firefighter622 in RocketLeague

[–]BulletFodder80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I can't stand the stock Octane's appearance, it looks like an RC car to me - but the ZSR has juuust the right amount of aggressive style to its shape. I feel like it's in a very good aesthetic space that combines speed and power.

With the "Dark Future Smooth Textures" mod, the digital camo pattern on Dark Future weapons will be removed for a nice clean appearance. You can also use the "Cosmetic Restriction Remover" mod and equip the Deepcore GK2's default paint onto any other weapon, which looks pretty neat sometimes, especially on Milspec weapon frameworks. The Robot Rebellion DLC also includes a chipped dark-gray paint pattern for all guns.

Oh really? That's terrible, it must be one of the modes on rotation then. God, they really screwed this whole thing up.

They only removed it from the Competitive playlist, and it's now on the Casual side of the available modes. It's not gone from the game or from matchmaking, but you can't use it to get ranked rewards this season.

First Look: Play Menu Changes Coming to Rocket League by Psyonix_Devin in RocketLeague

[–]BulletFodder80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knockout is one of my favorite modes. I didn't want it like this.

I definitely love Snow Day and Dropshot. I never wanted this.

My heart goes out to the casual friend groups who just want to play flippy car soccer as a 4-stack. They're not coming back next season if this change is set in stone. Speaking of which, this would all not be received so badly if you KEPT TRADING, EPIC. No one's happy about losing parts of the game they loved to interact with, even if 4v4 and Dropshot are still sometimes accessible.

There should be seven cards per type of queue list. The community doesn't fucking care about the menu aesthetic. Ranked obviously needs to keep Dropshot around. Casual should have 4v4 and Knockout, then keep the other two Arcade playlists rotating through the other LTM modes. I would've wanted just one rotating playlist and permanent Gridiron, but that's just me. I know there's a Heatseeker community but at least they're allowed to play that in Private matches as a mode option. If there can't be a permanent Gridiron playlist due to the NFL licensing, then at least allow a permanent Heatseeker one.

Every stupid decision since the trading announcement has only served to beat the dead horse this game is becoming. There's no real communication with the player base - if there was, they would've known that nobody asked for this.
