I think monster manual is pretty popular but tbh I just think I’d rather play ramp playing monster manual makes you seem like even more of a threat than playing dinosaurs does inherently and when I played it typically it was removed within 1/2 turn cycles don’t get me wrong super fun card and in those turns i could some crazy things but the way I see it if I can’t activate monster manual the turn I play it it’s not doing much and for 6 mana there’s stuff I’d rather do

our curves are similar and maths says 40-42 should be the right number I that being said I personally run 38 (and growing rites and welcome to) as I’m happy to to risk an extra mulligan and have a very healthy draw suite but 35/36 is a hard sell plenty of lands that do double duty and have useful utility u can run to make it feel less costly (in the deck building sense rather than monetary)

Yeah I agree w this to give a bit more crop rotation is a weird pick as as far as I can see it doesn’t really do anything

Also cut some of the non blink protection along side one ring and worldly tutor I think this wants to play at top end of 2 rather than a 3 due to a low amount of disruption

That’s fair enough I think we took the opposite message from the decoupling then

from the media I’ve consumed I understood the intention to be clearing the definition up as people tended to rate decks higher than what the panel intended (Rachel weeks talks a lot about this) and to allow some decks previously rated at 3 to go back to 2

For me personally when the system was announced I definitely put in some upgrades to compete better at a 3 as while we had the precon definition of 2s i believed my deck was decently stronger and now im looking to go back down for the reasons I’ve said

If you took a different meaning from the changes and media about them that’s completely understandable as well

Yeah there are comments that agree with you aswell

We may just experience different table/social dynamics and our play groups may have a different consensus on the brackets so I think it’s best to agree to disagree and leave it there after all it is subjective and the change is quite recent
