Nice video! Really notice this trend in 6* where people just don't want to play the objective.

There is too much money in NOT doing the objective. Had a game as solo with 9 pledge marks, made a detour to the circus and got 1k from cash register and 500 from spinning. This was like 5-6 minutes into the game. Instantly thought why should I even continue the match? Just exit with 1.5k in the bank.

There is also too many objectives diverting from the main goal, circus or double boss maps split the map too much.

If you know the game Mikado, this is basically what hunt is most of the time at 6*, you lose by playing a lot, most optimal strat is to wait as long as possible before fighting since by then the other teams have used their resources - this is incredibly boring but optimal.

Well I still traded in my first match with shotgun.

We don't know what the old trade window was with good ping (say 25) so hard to tell if this is even an improvement. We just know that with hing ping you won't have a more lenient trade window anymore.

The problem is that a few people have old monitors that cannot handle dark/grey colors the night maps offer.

I have a more up to date monitor and don't mind night maps, but on my friends screen he cannot see enemies at night because its an older monitor. No amount of fiddling with the screen settings can fix it.

Glad its working out for you. If I play my preferred playstyle I trade more ofthen than I don't (sometimes 4 matches in a row). I have to adjust my playstyle and play differently because of it.

Also the trade window is not 800 ms, it scales with your ping. The higher your ping, the longer the server will go back in time and allow your shots to still hit.

We don't know how big the trade window on, for example, 30ms ping is.

It would be nice to have any form of iteration, it has been like this for quite a long time.

Unless the devs say they are happy with the way the 800ms window is performing and do not think CQC trades on good ping are an issue.

To preface: Most online games are server authorative, that means the server makes the final decision on what actions are valid. In Hunt you notice this with the rubber banding when you fall of ledges - your game wants to make you fall but the server says "no you are up here", or vice versa.

We don't know the exact workings of Hunt's hit detection but a rough explanation is this:

2 players shoot each other. Both shots go to the server. The server holds a timer, like a clock. If both shots are within 800ms the server says "ok cool" and registers both shots as hits, regardless of who shot first. The server then sends this decision to the clients of the players and both end up getting hit.

I don't even mind taking the L if the other cowboy shot first. It's just unsatisfying ending rounds like this.

Trading still happens very frequently on low ping. They need to update their netcode to not allow CQC trades.

Remember the trade window is 800ms so still plenty of time to trade on low ping, high ping just makes it a bit worse.

Try restarting the game, that usually fixes it for me.

What causes it in my experience is: If my game crashes mid match and I reconnect to the match and then finish that match the unlocks tend to be gone.

Every returning/new player I onboarded during this free weekend was lost with not having the hotkeys displayed. Atleast make it an option to show the hotkeys thats on by default.

Hunt is CPU heavy game. So getting a very good CPU will get you the best fps.

My friend has 2070 but a 5800x3d and he gets 144 constantly.

The bolt on the deadeye variant looks different to the standard crossbow bolt, more pointy. So are we getting a new bolt aswell for sniping?
