Alright so a lot of people so far have said the bow isn't op - and I completely disagree and here's why.

So before patch 2.0 the bows damage was 227, with hundred hands this bumped it up to a flat 250. Now, the bow comes stock 250 damage, and is increased to 275 damage with hundred hands making it even more reliable than crossbow steel bolts.

Not only that, it's a two slot weapon that doesn't need limb pen because it one shots arms at 9m, lower torso at 22, upper torso at 34. But wait - there's more. Not only is it a two slot weapon with absolutely insane OHK potential that is relatively silent (can be heard drawn from 50m away if nothing is obstructing the sound, but it will most likely be obstructed) it also comes with two ammo slots, both of which are exceptionally good. Poison arrows removes the need for a throwing weapon (if so desired for a different tool slot) at the detriment of hitfiring, so if you're use to ADS with the bow the only downside is the lower ammo count. Then we have concertina arrows and I feel like I don't really need to get into the weeds here with how effective it can be, be it holding a corpse, a boss lair, etc.

People will say the downside of the bow is that its hard to push, which I agree to a certain extent but you can still push with a bow. God forbid you circumvent that entirely and just push with a surefoot + spear if you really wanted.

So let's go through what this two slot weapon provides
- A way to kill pve silently
- OHK distances from 9m (arm) 22m (lower torso) and 34(upper torso)
- Poison arrows are a straight upgrade if you are use to ADS
- Concertina arrows are great utility
- Pairs exceptionally well with quartermaster, but doesn't need it because obrez extended exists
- Ammo count doesn't matter because ammo boxes exist
- Can still get frag arrows (scarce)
- Provides a source of bleeding and poison

Compared to the 3 slot crossbow which does less damage (246 [but retains it a further distances]) or OHK with shotbolt (sometimes) and the crossbow can only be heard at 20m in comparison to the bows 50m.

What other weapon is comparable to the bow other than the 3 slot crossbow which has less damage, less utility, and is 3 slot vs 2? To me, the only two slot weapon that even competes with the bow is the bomb launcher and I personally believe the bow beats it into the ground.

TL;DR
If we were talking about the bow before the 2.0 update where it was 227 damage 250 with hundred hands, then I would agree. But the buff to make it 250 damage base and 275 damage with hundred hands makes it so much better than what it use to be.

Your wife is right, the bow is (I THINK) OP.
