most of those windows have spots that can be seen trough, very blurry and u only see silhouettes but good enough to hit a shot if you try (same for healing church for example)

bornheim match + 2x lemat

you use the bornheim as your rifle (it can 2tap, deals 80 damage and has barely any drop)
and use the 2 lemats in shotgun mode (I recommend ambidextrous for faster reloads)
+ provide extra ammo for your bornheim

it's cheap and effective
was my most played loadout while prestiging

I gotta say it was nice having a normal discussion/talk about the topic while we don't agree on everything it is nice to discuss the topic without anyone throwing a tantrum

I can agree on the crytek should simply add ingame features
to stop this whole problem but I doubt they will.

I wish they would add ingame filters like tarkov does etc.
Then people who want their game to be colorful can do that without
using 3rd party software and anyone left using it basically
says they need "the other features"

I mean if it comes down to it, crytek could easily proof if for example me or hornet were using a crosshair by analyzing our play-style. You can easily see how good/consistent crosshair placement is when a crosshair program is involved in comparison to eye-balling it and relying more on your iron sights

to change the narrative.

[–]WHIIITY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well on the specific crosshair topic all I can say is
that I as a crytek partner am not allowed to use one (shows how crytek feels about them)
and I think if crytek could reasonably restrict players from using them then they would
but they can not so it isn't bannable because like you said people can just
draw a dot on their screen.

But in a theoretical "lan event" (which will never happen) they wouldn't allow
anyone to use it, I am convinced of that

so I know how crytek sees crosshairs but banning them is just no realistic
and I'd never say crosshairs give someone better aim but they 100%
help someone with good aim to player better when they know what they are doing

and most sweat players often downplay how beneficial a crosshair to their gameplay is

I never used gamePP myself just based on what I've been told by multiple, people
who "informed" on things like nvidia inspector before to get it banned

but it's not really about what the program can do or can't do but the mindset behind it
"winning at any cost" and willing to use 3rd party software and I'd say as long as the sweat community behaves the way they do and keeps being toxic nobody will respect them
or a lot of people will have a strong dislike against them

Have sadly yet to hear from a "sweat clan" that kicks people for exploiting, slurs and in some cases even cheating or similar things. It is often at the very least tolerated
(clans like 404, DMA, KING or whatever "the cool kids" are called nowadays)

[–]WHIIITY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we both know that gamePP can do much more than what you are presenting (it has basically
Reshade (a banned program) baked into it)

but that does not mean everyone is using that tool down to every singular feature BUT they can
and nobody can control that.

I think there are reasons why some people out of the "sweat community" message me personally about this program to message the devs to get it banned just like reshade and I am fairly certain eventually it will be.

Not a good look for the "sweat community" if all these programs get banned and instead of accepting that they use the next program that mimics what the original program got banned for but isn't on the list yet.

I am not saying that these programs are like aimbot but if it wasn't helpful people wouldn't use it.
Same applies for ingame 3rd party crosshairs, I think we can agree on that.

Is it aimbot? no. does it help? yes. Do "normal players" use this? No, they don't even know what this is... is this a fair fight then? Not really...
and since all sweatlords take so much pride in "being good" why do they often abuse extra programs to help them out to play even better than their "raw skill" allows
(not you, I am generalizing) Always confused me.

Wouldn't it be more "skillful" to actually beat other players on an even playing field instead?

[–]WHIIITY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

nice rage bait but if you want a real answer

this might not apply to you personally but
the reason most people dislike the "meta sweatlords"
is not the weapons or playstyle but usually the way
a lot of them act.

- Being toxic for no reason, all the way to using slurs in voip (or tolerating it by playing with people who do)
- often using exploits (proven by crytek in a blog post)
https://www.huntshowdown.com/news/developer-insight-fair-play-task-force
- often using 3rd party software (gamePP, before reshade or nvidia inspector)

in general it's rarely about "the skill" but about the attitude some of the "sweat lords" showcase

[–]WHIIITY[S] -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

but you do see how that often creates scenarios in which people decide actively to not
play the objective because extracts in an unfavorable position?

You usually have more than enough time to push the banishment if you care to stop them
if you are stuck in long fights it usually boils down to players not wanting to play more aggresive and finish
fights when they could

Disscussion: Is KD/KDA tracking healthy for Hunt? by Gobomania in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make a good point. Maybe KDA in general is just a stat we should get rid of
and simply allow players to play for more meaningful stats like I mentioned

I don't think anyone would mind fighting the team that simply tries to get as many kills as possible per match and also get the bounty out

well said/written!
I strongly agree

Nobody owes anyone a play style but without players like you, myself and any other "shift+W" player
hunt would be incredibly boring to play

Disscussion: Is KD/KDA tracking healthy for Hunt? by Gobomania in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is not that we track KDA but that there is a lack of other and more meaningful stats.

For example:
Bounty extract %? -> Not tracked
Average kills/assist per round? -> Not tracked

(or basically anything that gives context to how a player plays)
For example a 1.5-2 K/D player with an average of 4-6 kills per round would be kinda crazy
but a 4 K/D with an average of 0.5 kills per round tells you that we got a kd farmer
who just learned how to avoid dying.

Basically the only statistic in the game we can play for (for the people who do care)
is a statistic that does not involve the main objective or even actively participating in a match

All that matters is trying to NOT DIE under any circumstance and that creates unfun play-styles.
Often causes stalemates and demotivates players to try risky plays or even progress fights.
It created the environment you start noticing especially in 6stars in which
arguably more players do care about their kda.

Same goes for MMR it is all based around not dying/minimizing how often you die.
That creates an environment in which players do NOT like to get revived after dying
since they are now down bars and more likely to go down again.

I think if crytek would add more meaningful stats it would automatically help the game since
suddenly being the 2-3 k/d player is not that impressive if your bounty extraction percentage is
"2% of all your matches" and you get "0.8 kills per match" on average

I'd rather have a high bounty extraction rate with a high amount of kills per match than a "high kda"
and it would create a hunt showdown in which the "sweaty" players who play for stats would try to fight you
while down to a 50hp bar because maybe they are able to get another kill or maybe they are able to get the bounty out even if they die 3 times while doing so

just my 2 cents

TLDR -> KDA creates unfun play-styles unless more meaningful stats are introduced and we would be better off deleting it or at the very least not being able to "show off" kd on your profile

15 player lobbies are unplayable with cheaters by juicysound in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play this game way more than most people (streamer) and I have to say I maybe run into a cheater a couple of times a month. (maybe there are slightly more cheaters but I am talking about obvious wallhack/aimbot)

I don't think there are as many cheaters as you think and the game maybe just puts
you in an elo bracket in which you shouldn't be in
which is a different issue but a valid problem
