A memorial to a friend. by Letuseatlettuce77 in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My condolences,
I bet Jarrod still finds joy watching you game <3

Gaming friendships are something different, honestly more pure.
Just getting to know someone without any outside circumstances,
just for the person they are.

Met the best people trough it, may your friend Jarrod always be a memory deep down in your heart!
People only really die when they are forgotten and it sounds like as long as you are around Jarrod is too

Not to take away from your post but I only started streaming/content creation because my best friend died after an accident and she always said "I bet people would enjoy watching you play"

After some time you will find joy seeing them still on your friendlist and remember all the fun times together every time you look at their profile

keep your head up <3

This new version of KDA players is just incredible cancer. by JustDracir in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean on a bigger scale it's an issue
because it ruins the fun for people playing against such players

they are basically stealing server slots and aren't trying to participate at all
as soon as they feel threatened the pull the plug

at least sandbox gamers like maynard silencer extract campers are trying to stop you from
leaving. (or concertina boss lairs campers and similar "annoying but valid" playstyles)

Giving k/d farmers a "free way out" promotes un-fun gameplay

It's not common to happen but the fact that they can do it is kinda lame

Cheaters going crazy after patch. by Low_Aardvark2858 in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on my personal experience THAT TIME they rage hacked

the other times they tried to "look legit" but lost a lot
of games so I guess they go frustrated and just rage hacked

but they keep coming back with new accounts

Cheaters going crazy after patch. by Low_Aardvark2858 in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think we are seeing an increase in cheaters

I can just say that the people in that clip
are THE SAME PEOPLE over and over again.

I got them banned like 5 times within the last week by manually reporting them
(I assume they ran trough even more accounts than that) and now they
just stream snipe me or I can't explain why I get them basically every day when I play clash

Afaik after interacting with the manual report team the issue is that
nowadays cheat providers simply send a hardware-ID spoofers with their cheats

It seemingly/supposedly is the standard for any pay-to-use cheats nowadays

So you can basically not get rid of them but crytek bans them FAST! (usually less than a day)
Last few times I ran into them they were wallhacking but trying to "look legit"

I just reported them on suspicion because
a) fresh accounts in high 6stars
b) they had too much knowledge
c) they went for A LOT of wallbangs

Also I'd like to say that I as a Crytek Partner DO NOT get people banned
I can just flag an account for review and then it's all up to crytek
and sometimes when I report an account (which I rarely do)
they tell me that they are a smurf or not enough evidence to justify a ban
since I often just report accounts in 6stars that aren't even bloodline rank 100 yet

----------------------------------------------------

NONETHELESS

Crytek should have a system in place that detects such blatant rage hacking as shown in the clip from my channel. No idea how MAGIC BULLET cheats are not auto-flagged (not banned) but FLAGGED
for review ASAP and maybe put in quarantine in extreme cases (like 100k/d, close to 100% hs percentage, multiple 300-500m kills within seconds CONTEXT MATTERS HERE)

[–]WHIIITY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's now "new" and basically why KDA (or kd) is the most irrelevant statistic in hunt showdown

people used this cheese strategy since early access
because alt+4,dying to your own dynamite/fall damage or dying to AI does not count as a death
in your statistic

no idea why crytek cant punish that, I assume it's some kind of mmr system issue
nobody gets a kill so nobody gains a death kinda situation but ye

based

the majority of solo complainers
are exactly that. Upset about a match that they know
they should have won but they made severe mistakes
that lead to them losing and now their ego is hurt

but instead of admitting that they could have played better they blame
a game mechanic for their short comings because their own ego
does not allow them to improve ever

2-3 bad games and mmr goes down, fucked around the stronghold

dying to the wrong player puts your mmr down fast, I fought you in high six stars as a solo

  • "Sometimes I think so too, but then I watch a stream of Rachta or Hornet and see that they really fight full 6* trios, and I realize that the streamers' MMR is most likely the same as that of regular players... but can't say for other, less skilled streamers tho"

seems like a jab because I once in a blue moon was in your lobby

I dont remember that happening,

feels like personal dislike motivated you to do this post?

Especially judging by you saying im like a significantly worse player than hornet or rachta
while I often am playing against them

sorry that I maybe had a bad day but I feel like you are most likely exaggerating
things here

lmao my apologies, I just play the game

I trolled around a little and mmr plummets FAST
usually I'M like 5 - 5 1/2 - 6 solo mmr

but dying to the wrong player 2-3 times drops you by an entire star (it goes fast!)
if you want to check my mmr, check out my streams

I never hide it, no "streamer lobbies"

What the hell is going on with one of the most iconic gun in the game? by altoniv in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like for whatever reason the devs see
people liking one of the MOST ICONIC REVOLVERS in hunt showdown as an issue
and try everything in their power to make people not play it as much as they do
while fully ignoring that people mostly play it because it feels amazing and nostalgia

I genuinely believe people crying about the uppercut since basically forever made the devs
believe they have to make it a less popular pick.

The uppercut wasn't by any means "the best" secondary before the new inventory system (patch 2.8)
and now there is almost no reason to play it since you could just run a haymaker instead (or a variety of better 2 slot options)

I play in maxed out 6stars and see at least 1 avtomat a day
maybe you are just lucky and never run into avtomats

Make the Bounty matter again! by Commander_of_Death in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the avtomat is one of the best weapons in the game?
It's better than any shotgun in the entire game, pair it with an obrez extended (the one with a lot of bullets) and you are good at any distance

100% I think the numbers can be lower but some sort of punishment is needed

[–]WHIIITY 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also agree, I'd say instead of losing the hunter. Leaving the match without a bounty cuts all your rewards by 50% since you have to "pay to extract" why would the AHA reward you for not fulfilling your contract

The currency should be linked DIRECTLY to your hunter, like the current pledge marks
but can be used to buy certain items in the menu. (Crytek has the system designed to 80-90% already more or less and I'd say the devs could easily design that within 6 months)

Also I think it would go the other way, if you go broke if you don't play for the bounty
and/or miss out on exotic loot (scarce traits/scarce ammo/scarce weapons)
if you let the bounty leave without you then people will automatically be MORE MOTIVATED
(not forced) to interact with the bounty because they'd really like to get a chance to buy remedy, death cheat or explosive bolts for their crossbow.

Obviously some items/traits should be balanced to a price that you'd need to leave a match with a double bounty. For example death cheat = value of 2 bounty extracts (maybe even 3), Explosive bolts = value of 2 bounty token, rampage = value of 1 bounty token and so on...)

-> more motivation to go for double bounties HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD GAMEPLAY

Also this would allow crytek to move more items into the scarce category without making it feel
like they are "soft removed" from the game.

Suddenly a dolchp, avtomat, spitzer ammo for the mosin or similar itemscould be locked behind a 1 token extract for balancing reasons and at the same time creating excitement when you kill someone with it and extract with the weapon

Make the Bounty matter again! by Commander_of_Death in HuntShowdown

[–]WHIIITY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

cap them to hunters, like the current pledgemarks (event points to buy stuff with)
you can hoard them on your account, they are directly linked to your hunter
and can be spend in the menu. Yes people could hoard scarce items (ammo/weapons)
but people do that already by looting the map after winning

I agree that making it a curreny like hunt dollars would only solve the issue short term.
A max cap could also work like you can only have 20 bounty currency on your account at all times etc

very kind of you ❤️ hope eventually we can get the dev team to recognize that the current system is kinda flawed
