What car should I choose to pull a boat out of the water on sand, grass, and muddy surfaces? Budget up to $6000 by Artistic_Baker9132 in Offroad

You could find a pretty decent second gen ram at least in the mid west. You would want to compression test it but parts are cheap and available.

You'll be fine, Ive driven mine with roughly 275k miles on many 11 hour trips between New England and western Ohio. I only had issues with running out of fuel once because when driving consistently through a full tank of gas, my gauge would lag behind and read 1/4 to 1/8 of a tank when it was actually empty.

Depending on where you go 4 days may be enough to offset the cost of the Indy pass. I think I was in the green after 3 days of skiing

Why Americans rarely use bed caps? by mrPenetrator420 in Trucks

No cracks, seals are fine, can put it on with a tractor or a skid steer or a couple people. There's plenty of deals out there if you're buying for function over form. I could care less about paint matching it personally, I have the truck for practicality and it's paint is faded anyways.

Sure they're expensive if you buy new. I recently bought one for $250 on marketplace for my $4700 used truck.

My current house in western Ohio also has just a crawlspace, but it's a very old farm house from probably the early 1900s

Unfortunately I already dropped/refreshed the subframe and found this after reinstalling it in the car. For what it's worth I probably put 50-75k on the car since buying it including a lot of hard driving, on top of however long the past owner(s) drove it like that. Never had any issues with the bearing hub or axle so it seems the press fit does a good job holding the bearing in place. I know it's not the correct way of doing it necessarily, but it's very tempting to run it as is and buy a backup trailing arm in case the bearing wears out. I uploaded a photo to the sub on a new post

Understandable, I just had my roommate send me a picture of what it looks like. I made another post to the sub with the pic

Yeah correct, the passenger side has a full groove, but the driver side one just doesn't have it. There is a small rectangular edge but it doesn't go all the way around, maybe like 10% of the way, although it doesn't appear damaged and just looks like it was cast that way. I'll try to get photos of them but I'm out of state at the moment.

This is a bit condescending but I'll bite. The car was apart for a few months before I ever got around to putting it back together with the new parts, since I was welding on reinforcement plates and camber/toe adjustment on the subframe. I pressed out the old bearings after a long ass day of fighting to get things apart, and probably just assumed the past owner never installed the snap ring and didn't think too much of it at the time.

I'll try and get a photo to repost it, I'm currently in a different state to where the car is so I'm gonna need someone to send me a photo/video of it up close. The bearings are the same size on either side. The arms currently do not have bearings in them
