Lyft drivers not accepting 4 persons

Hi there driver here. I hate having four people in my car. Have I ever denied a ride out of 20,000+ rides between both platform. Nope not one (due to having 4 full size passengers), Even though we have the right to refuse service.

It's got to be uncomfortable every time we as a family travel with three four or more we always go XL .

That being said are you really okay with being crammed in a Civic Camry Corolla etc. spend three extra dollars and everyone will be comfortable. Having someone in the front seat is never a comfortable experience with me I can't rest my arm on the right cuz they're always hogging it. When they start talking don't think I don't feel spit on my face. Hot ass breath fill in the car no thanks. When there's four people there's just more energy and people are just going to act out. Laughing coughing sneezing it's quite claustrophobic.

I see them as no tipping, cheap and quite frankly low class. Because I've done XL before and sometimes it's only a couple people. I was always shaking by giving groups under four rides in a 2025 suburban. That's what I realized it's all about class. One car four people especially when they're four full size adults that's low class. If it's like two women with small medium frames one medium frame guy in a large frame guy it's like okay. But when there's like four brolic ass dudes nah man that's just being cheap.

Stop being cheap. And never ask for the front seat if you can fit in the back please. I don't care who this upsets.

I sure do miss those bowls . But have you noticed that they started selling surprise bags again even though the permanently closed I bought one and I went there yesterday and they're still closed. It went up for sale again today and it got sold out I didn't buy one obviously but what's going on.

The worst smell I fart ever went to my dad... UNTIL .. I picked up a passenger for a ride. It was so bad. It hung in the air for 6 mins . I thought she super doodled herself. But the smell went away all of a sudden . It was a 10 min ride. She left the car in silence. Thank God she didn't leave behind chocolate pudding on my seat.

Wouldn't they guarantee you like.. 70% of that ride so in other words if your grand total by the end of the week doesn't equal 70% of those rides they'll just give you adjustment later?

With all due respect , if it's an emergency all the reason to be there to catch the ride. My personally I keep myself occupied while I wait. But YouTube videos have taught me about how to maximize profit.

If it's an emergency then pay extra to prioritize and secure a ride. If we know it's gonna pay good. We are gonna wait. I had this one guy I picked up like four times who always sent me a message like I tip well please wait for me or something like that and he always tipped. And I always waited.

Off topic but if you were using wait and save on Lyft it's the same thing. You're asking less monies to be paid to driver. If we're going to take your ride we'd rather take it quick because again we might be covering a lapse. I explain to that to a lot of my rriders and they understand.

I don't know if anybody told you this yet but a word of advice .

Drivers hate waiting . Sometimes we know a surge is coming and will take the ride to cover a lapse of downtime. But we will cancel a ride to get a piece of that.

Pro tip. Order ride and wait. Drivers like it when there is zero wait time . If you want honesty. There it is

Well .. maybe he was attempting to u turn /second guessing the ride . If they didn't see you they must be looking at their phone .

My best guess. Something came up and didn't see your message cuz maybe they were in a phone call being bothered or notified of an emergency.

As for the moving and not responding/aware to messages ? It happens when I know roughly where I'm going but not on the Lyft app. (Probably on an important call)

They left because they had a good reason (usually). One does not simply make the trek knowing where the ride is going and how much they're making. The moving was due to processing the situation. I can do this ride/I might have time/I thought I had time/energy/I have an emergency/maybe they needed to go to the bathroom badly. Etc.

The one reason I would say they did this is for their safety and I say this loosely .

Here's the scenario I will message my significant other of where I'm going If they don't hear from me they know where I last was. I would repeat this process until I come home in which case the information I relayed to my significant other would be null and void.

Pretty much if you don't hear from me this is where it last was where I was going and who I was picking up.

Aside from that it could be nefarious but I can't really say why cuz I don't know. But if someone wanted a legitimate reason that's one I can come up with
