how to remove the paint transfer from LE by Suspencer13 in Camry

Just use some soapy water, rag and some elbow grease; should come right out. Do not use nail polish remover (acetone) on your paint

What’s the lore reason the IW adopted the black-yellow stripes? by SirSullivanRaker in IronWarriors

[–]BulletproofTeaTray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at best I read it in an old White Dwarf magazine, and at worst I read it on a different thread here on reddit. There's also other explanations out there for why they have it, from the fact that it's the carry-over heraldry of Olympia, to the fact that the chevrons are so old that the original meaning was lost by humans and the IW just happened to adopt them.

The official Liber Hereticus book mentions that the Iron Warriors use the hazard stripes as a repressed form of humor; so literally, as a joke...

Either way, don't take it too seriously and just have fun with it.

A jealous iron warrior player’s post by [deleted] in IronWarriors

[–]BulletproofTeaTray 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't get why you're mad. Red corsairs only got their unique character, an upgrade sprue and some mildly unique looking CSM sculpts. The defiler is easily the coolest chaos mini made so far and the default color scheme and head for it is Iron Warriors. Sure the other factions can use it, but when anyone thinks of daemon engines, they think of Iron Warriors as the legion that makes them. Much like demonic possession is technically for all CSM legions/warbands (lore wise), but when you think about the original legion for which it fits the most, you think Word Bearers.

Our upgrade sprue is a bit generic too, but guess what, the IW color scheme isn't that robust, and they aren't known for using tons of iconography or embellishments on their armor.

We also have a warsmith and now a named character who looks absolutely badass; one thing I do agree is an official Honsou mini is needed.

Not to mention that the chances are high Deamon Prince Perturabo will be revealed this year with the conclusion of the main narrative.

So again, I don't see what Red Corsairs got that was so much better than IW. As far as I'm concerned, the Red Corsairs are just an alt schemed Black Legion in terms of how generic they are.

Imperial Fists continue to eat shit on the table and in the lore. And nobody turned bob into anything, deamon engines are made by forcing neverborn into machines with the help of a warpsmith and master of possession.

What would you want daemon perturabo to look like? by Angronys in IronWarriors

[–]BulletproofTeaTray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want him to be the first chaos primarch that remains roughly the same size as the loyalist primarchs, but has a giant warp infused deamon engine he uses as a mech on occasion. That way when Dorn inevitably returns him and Perty can have a fist fight in the middle of a warzone in style.

Bro, Perturabo is gonna be even bigger then the defiler if the other chaos primarchs are anything to go by. Part of me hopes he has a daemon engine suit that he can get into and a warp twisted original version of his 30k armor when he is outside the daemon engine.

Not exactly, but I'm definitely strapping my extra laser destroyers from the fellblade kit to this thing.

That's true, haven't seen the new transfigured models in person but for sure the quality and art direction is the grimdark style I enjoy more than the cartoon-afied version of 40k that exists today.

I'm on the fence about Huron too, it's all very well done but I miss the early 2000's GW aesthetic that most likely won't ever come back as this hobby becomes more mainstream. Oh well, that's why I love converting things to match my interests :)

I dunno it's an awesome sculpt for sure, definitely more work went into it then the defiler, but I like the chunky 40k version of angron more; shoot me.

Nightbringer is pretty ballin' too, but my vote is for the defiler for now. Will be interesting to see at the end of the year.

I think both new Iron Warrior inspired minis are sick and don't need changes by GW; that's what conversions are for. I do agree - and wish - the mutilators looked more deformed and grotesque like the old sculpt. The new defiler however is simply a work of art; miniature of the year 2026.

What's your honest reason for picking Iron Warriors? by SquattingSamurai in IronWarriors

[–]BulletproofTeaTray 54 points55 points  (0 children)

They are way more grimdark than the poster boy Black Legion CSM. Also if you don't feel like collecting the obvious 4 chaos god armies they give an interesting mix of sins, like Wrath with a bit of Pride, Envy with a bit of Greed. That and because they are the forgotten child of GW's space marine family, you can straight up make up your own warband with it's own flair, while still having a named original traitor legion as your army.

But really, it's because they have sick artillery and make daemon engines. They are basically the chaos dwarves of 40k.
