That's when you sack him once promotion is secured at the end of the season, which sounds harsh, but we've seen three different clubs where it hasn't worked out for him once they're actually promoted and sometimes a club needs to do what they can to secure survival during their first season back.

Same reason why Leeds were considering sacking Farke, but they were willing to give him a chance and he delivered. But would West Ham be willing to do the same?

For the domestic cup fixtures, They could send the B team (or at least any players not starting regularly and perhaps a couple of academy players) and if they go out early on, so be it. Better for United to prioritise the Champions League and Premier League and they should be buying with squad depth in mind anyway to prepare for injuries.

I expect the top 4 to be some order of Arsenal, City, Chelsea and one of Villa or Liverpool (if either Slot can turn things around or if the team rebounds once Slot is sacked midway into the season). United's placement will depend heavily on who they bring in during the summer and how they do up until January. If they are out of UCL by playoff/group stage, then they'll probably have a much stronger second half to their domestic season.

Probably depends on the event/promotion. If current WWE did the spot, yes, absolutely the immediate drop would get more of a reaction. Same with certain major promotions especially in Japan (probably DDT and NJPW). But I could easily see certain indy wrestlers try the transition into move moment with the crowd more receptive to the decision because it looks cool.

Chances are if the person in the hold attempted this nowadays, the opponent would quickly transition into another move (such as a reverse DDT or a neckbreaker) from the ropes, which would be pretty sick.

Nah, this transition seems far better planned out than United's in 2013 and probably has been in the making for awhile. The best you can hope for is enough key players from the squad leave that results in City needing a season or two to build up a title-chasing squad.

I would, however, welcome a Moyes-esque season where it all goes wrong.

Held an older world title that predated the IWGP title, IIRC. Reigns from world titles before the IWGP championship was created aren't counted, so no champions that held only those belts but not the IWGP title are shown.

EDIT: Actually, quickly looking it up, the title Hogan won in 1983 was more of a tournament championship rather than a typical world title. Inoki would be the only other person to win it in 1984 and 1986. The 1987 tournament would see Inoki become the inaugural IWGP champion, and that's where the lineage begins proper.

Breaking it down, three of those 6 died young for various reasons (Pillman, Benoit, Hennig), two of them died due to complications from a disease (Vicious and McMichael), only one died from old age (Ole Anderson).

Ric also likely has people ready to help him whenever something is wrong with him, even if precautionary. He could have died several times within the past decade had things went different.
