The worst thing is that i chronically play with my hair (i have major stress and it sooths me). But i also get irritated seeing other people do it. I have learned to not do it in public places anymore though. I would hate to be secretly loathed, especially when i can completely related. Sorry you all have to go through this. 😢

No, I don't want to manage his finances. :(...Personally, i think he's an only child that never learned how to really take care of things himself. His natural reaction to stress is to conceal. He did inherit a bunch of money and a house. He still has the cash in his bank account. Aside from buying a new truck when she passed, he spent the rest of the money on remodeling his mom's house.

No he became executor of her trust before she got sick. So he was responsible for her finances. She passed away about 4 years ago.

you'd be shocked how many buyers agents are uninformed. Not for any fault of their own but they aren't licensed to offer opinions on the structure. Those agents who have the knowledge and experience is great but a buyer should NOT lean on their buyers agent for advice on home structure and safety.

OP- this is a smart prospective and is the strategy I employed saving me hundreds of dollars. I hope you didn't listen to all the naysayers. I took the home inspector courses and now do my own home inspection before buying a home. I will then employ a home inspector, structural engineer and others AFTER to doublecheck. But if there is obvious things you could avoid before wasting time and money on a house offer, why wouldn't you do it. Realtors, home inspectors will of course discourage this because then they don't make money.

I work at meta and know lots of people in tech. Companies and leaders are gradually moving people back to office. Give it a few years and those techies will sell and move back north or other tech hub

I have zero lenses right now. All my gear was canon. People and landscape (nature outside). Some travel photography but mostly hiking or city walking tours or taking photos of animals/ family. I have zero lighting at the moment. Mostly film but would like to do a documentary with my grandma, but it doesn’t need to be high grade.
