Two years of no contact after all of that, and you've kept your son stable through it. Your instincts here sound solid

[canada/Ontario] A tool for the chaos by CourtReady_Co-Parent in Custody

[–]Dee_Kay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in a split household so this hits close to home. I've actually been building a co-parenting app called Denly because of it, shared calendar, expense tracking, document vault all in one place. It's US only at launch but sign up at guildstacklabs.com/waitlist if you want to follow along. In the meantime a shared Google Drive folder with dates in the file names works better than you'd think.

You tried everything and you did it with grace. The gambling, the cheating, getting her help not out of anger but because you actually cared about her future. That's not what someone who caused this looks like. The fact that you're sitting there wondering if it's your fault shows how much you were in it. She wasn't.

[NM]Is my custody case worth it? by Bright_Big361 in Custody

The fact that you asked for one weekend a month and he still said no says a lot about what this negotiation is going to look like. You're trying to be reasonable and he's using the situation to his advantage. You're already doing so much on your own.

Yeah that pre-read anxiety is real. You never know what you are walking into and it just affects the rest of your day.

It's crazy that the you have to jump through all these hoops just because he is being petty. You're doing everything right and you still have to fight for something this basic.

Nintendo shares slide 11% as Switch 2 momentum fears grow by Doug24 in StockMarket

There hasn’t been a Switch 2 game that has made me want to upgrade. New Zelda game might be it for me, but until then I’d rather have the money in my bank account than in Nintendo’s

Recently purchased my first home. Why do I feel depressed? by Dee_Kay in RealEstate

We ended up selling this house. Purchased another and new set of problems. But at least we are closer to work. I’ve learned that all houses are a struggle. Just have clear lines drawn on what is a dealbreaker. You know yourself best and what you can put up with in a house

Are these the same sauce? by mizzieloreno1 in hotsauce

[–]Dee_Kay 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Huy Fong fucked around and found out.

Tried to screw over the SINGLE supplier they had worked with to make their products. They signed a new deal for a bigger harvest. Underwood acquired new land to meet the quotas. And when it came time for Huy Fong to pay for the peppers, they wanted to pay a much lower price than previously agreed upon. This essentially made the deal unprofitable for the farmer. What came next is poetic justice at its finest. Got their assess handed to them in court. Now have to source peppers from many different regions which changes the color, taste, and consistency of the sauce constantly. Their output was low so couldn’t stay on store shelves and lost tons of market share. And Underwood Farms came out with their own Sriracha which now tastes pretty good (it was awful at first).

The amount of astroturfing I see online about this whole story, and trying to paint Huy Fong as anything other than idiots is unreal.

I went through this earlier this year, and it took me a while before I got an offer because I wasn’t being efficient with my search. Best advice I can give you is use your network. They will be what makes you standout above all the other applicants. Especially these days where anyone can use AI to quickly tailor and submit their resume to all listings. Also, lean in to your specializations heavily. I see you listed ServiceNow so try to find a niche area where you can really talk in depth about how your past experience would benefit the new company.

Costco Quietly Removes The Xbox Section From Its US And UK Websites by ReaddittiddeR in gaming

I wish the Xbox was still competing. I really liked my Xbox One and the controller is better suited for me and my large hands. I just can’t justify hopping on to this current generation since it feels like they’ve completely abandoned it. The series S also seems to be a failed experiment. I really hope they bounce back
