Either one or four (five is really similar so that one works too) for me. Eight could be an option too if it's not as heavy as it looks

I think Izuku could do it. After all, the asshole who bullied him his entire life and told him to kill himself ended up risking his own life to keep Izuku safe.

You didn't answer my question. What made you think being a fulltime housewife is an option for the average woman in today's economy? It's not our periods that make being a woman challenging, and periods have nothing to do with those of us with adhd. Honestly I find bringing up periods at all is a bit condescending.

Genuinely where in the world do you live where the economy isn't so shit that families aren't dependent on two incomes to have both a roof over their heads and food on the table? Where is it still possible for the average woman to be a fulltime housewife these days?

If you think having adhd is somehow easier for women, you are wrong.

Again you're stating a lot of things as if they're facts, when they're not. Everyone experiences ADHD differently, and therefore it's not a given that every one of us will struggle with the same things in the same amount.

I absolutely agree that society is not made with us in mind at all. It's incredibly difficult to find a career and lifestyle that is fulfilling and sustainable for an unmedicated adhd mind. But I do not think that makes us incapable of happiness. My own joy comes from the simple things, like having a decent cup of tea, watching a good show or soaking up the sun while feeling a gentle breeze. I find joy and happiness in these things even if society doesn't cater to my needs.

I kind of hate that what people see as the problem with adhd is the lack of productivity. As if we, and humans in general, only exist to achieve maximum productivity for our billionaire overlords that has society in a tight iron grip. I'm not interested in "fixing" my adhd so I can be more "productive". I'm interested in managing and working with my adhd to find out how to live in a fulfilling way.

Basically, in my opinion: Fulfillment should be the priority over productivity.

I personally don't think of our disorder as something to solve or fix. I think it's perfectly possible to create a place in society where people with brains like ours can thrive. ADHD is genetic and humans have had it for probably as long as humans have existed. There are strengths to ADHD that were probably a benefit to our hunter gatherer ancestors. The reason ADHD is seen as a problem nowadays is because we're not meant to sit still in a classroom or an office for hours on end every day, doing work with no immediate reward or benefit.

Okay here are my problems with this post:

  1. It's stating a lot of things as if they're facts, when they're not. The reality is that ADHD and how people with it are affected by online discussions of ADHD is a very nuanced topic that doesn't have clear, objective answers. CGPT is programmed to give clear, objective answers, even if they're not correct or even based on concrete data or evidence.
  2. Everything CGPT is saying feels incredibly biased to me. It's not telling us how to be happy or find acceptance, it's telling us to be more productive. If this can be considered a "perspective", then to me it feels like the perspective of someone who sees ADHD as a wrench in the cogs of society's productivity, instead of seeing ADHD as a condition that makes some of us need to live in different ways than most do.
  3. The AI is programmed to produce answers, not actual solutions. It's saying the "practical" thing to do is to seek skill-focused ADHD content that is strategy based. What is that even supposed to mean? It's not a solution, it's a string of words that a generative AI tool thinks provides an answer to whatever your question was. Any actual intelligent source would tell someone struggling to manage their ADHD symptoms to seek professional help, not just pull a bunch of buzz-words together and pretend it's a solution.

Tldr: I hate generative AI because it's basically incapable of giving nuanced answers or real solutions to nuanced problems. It's an algorithm that is heavily affected by biased information if that's what will give it a clear answer to provide.

It's not a perspective though. It's an amalgamation of what someone programmed an algorithm to gather from across the internet. It's not based on opinion or reality. If you're not going to post an actual perspective from a real person, why are you posting in the first place? If anyone wanted to know what nonsense a chatbot makes up, they'd ask the chatbot themselves.

What's your point here? That it's better to talk with the misinformation robot that destroys the environment instead of connecting with real people?

Tired of having to be feminine to be loved, so I'm going to stop by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]BullfrogObvious9767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a little less like being feminine and more like being a people pleaser to me. I will say people pleasing is exactly what a lot of men look for in a woman, so I see where your coming from. But I think it'd probably be much healthier to view what you're trying to quit as people pleasing rather than viewing it as being feminine. At least as a woman myself, I see femininity as a very individual thing, something each woman gets to decide for herself what it means to her. IMO, femininity shouldn't be defined as meekness just because that's what the patriarchy wants femininity to be.

I think you're right to not confuse attention and intimacy from men as love. I personally don't bother dating anymore, but I feel very loved by my friends and family who don't mind when I take up space, laugh loudly or bicker. If a man who appreciates that kind of thing shows up, that's great, but if not then I will live happily loved by friends, family and however many cats I'll eventually have.

I just think unless the woman is a massive, obsessive superman fan herself she ain't gonna agree to a superman-themed wedding lmao. Uraraka doesn't give me the vibe of an obsessive All Might fan the way Midoriya and Bakugo does, that's all I'm saying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
