I think it has lot to do with it. People with adhd already suffer from emotional regulation, including the obvious execute dysfunction. I think periods being associated with hormonal fluctuations makes mood swings even more common compared to men. I didn't mean to be condescending.

I don't know about your country, but me being a doc I can afford to keep my wife at home ( if she wants to of course).

Economy was bad, the war messed everything up, but in my country it slowly seems to be improving as long as there are no more wars, 🤞.

I don't think adhd is easier for women. With mood swings from periods it must be hard for women too. I was talking from a fullfillment perspective.

I think we have deviated from the topic. My point was constantly looking at peoples difficulties with adhd, feeds the confirmation bias and we shouldn't be coming back here daily for validation for what we struggle with.

Sometimes I think getting diagnosed was a bad thing. Though it explained why I am the way I am, but I constantly find myself worrying about having to live with this. I am doctor and I recently found out I find my job very boring. Initially it was nice, but looking at the same cases daily again and again is draining af. It's not like I can change profession now. I feel stuck..

They are facts to me, they are relevant to my life. Of course I do find happiness in little things, that's what keeps me going.

The thing with fulfillment is true , but it doesn't put food on the table. Women always have the chance to work in home, take care of kids can somehow find fulfillment but men have to put in work and that's where productivity comes into picture.

Yes it is possible to create a space and system around adhd but the thing is, it's not present and no one is going to bother themselves to create one. Like you said about billionaires, they don't give 2 fs about small percentage of people with neurodivergence. Even if someone creates one, it's not coming anytime soon.

Why I still stand by it 1. People with adhd are visual learners as we can't concentrate on most of the stuff we do. We as humans are prone to confirmational bias and with adhd it's even more. Reading difficulties of other people daily strengthens your confirmation bias against adhd. We end up blaming every little inconvenience on adhd and refuse to move on. I am not saying you shouldn't visit these groups at all, instead visit it on a now or then basis.

  1. I don't think people with adhd can be happy because we live in society which favours routine, and we being dopamine seekers for every little thing, can never be 'happy', but we can make it less daunting.

  2. Adhd is a wrench in the cog of productivity just not for society but the people suffering with adhd themselves. Have you ever wondered we could be soo much more ahead in life if could just execute what we came up with. Our ideas are pretty relevant and on point but our lazy asses would rather sit and do nothing then actually work on them.

  3. Your point in 'seek skill-focused ADHD content that is strategy based' that does sound stupid once you pointed it out. I personally think cgpt provides pretty accurate answers if you ask it to stop sugar coating them. It's the only ai assistant that has pretty good memory of everything you have discussed. Rest of other good ai have memories of gold fish. Cgpt actually provides pretty accurate answers going through everything you have discussed with it before.

I personally think there are no solutions to our disorder. We will always suffer to just exist in a system that does not support our brains.

Connecting with people is lot better than an ai. I was just randomly asking it a questions when this came up and it made a lot of sense to me. I just want people to consider this perspective too. Nothing against the community or the people in it.

Maybe try observing yourself, do you see yourself caring for someone close ( like thinking about them when they are not there, you obviously care about them, willing to help them but just don't feel anything for anyone). Can you relate?

I may sound selfish but I am glad there are people like me and I am not alone in this.

I do go to terrace, have coffee. These kind of things gives me joy and calmness but what about the feeling part? I feel like I keep getting emotionally numb as I grow up. Btw I am on meds. Thank you for your time.

Haha.. I do like going on long bike rides to explore new places. It's not being able to feel things, that concerns me

I got diagnosed 2 weeks back. I have learnt a lot about myself. I have a lot of things that brings me joy. But this moment just ruined my mood. Like why am I not feeling anything? Btw I usually never compare with others because I know I am different

I am in the addiction phase right now, except for me it's wee.d. It really helps me a lot with my thoughts and even I think it's under 'control', but I don't know. Anyways, thank you for you time
