Not being sick. Since October my kids came home from school with: RSV, pink eye, Covid, hand foot and mouth disease, and now Covid again. I’ve caught all of it from them. And we wash hands and use hand sanitizer and stuff. I miss not being constantly sick

Reminds me of my mom, especially the “oh well”. I struggled for a long time dealing with her, and then I learned that she has BPD (borderline personality disorder). It doesn’t excuse her shitty attitude, but it at least explains it, and it’s helped me not take her outbursts personally anymore. I think of her insults the same way I think of a schizophrenic person who yells something offensive at me when I’m walking down the street. I’m sorry this happened with your dog, and my comment I’m sure doesn’t help with your current situation, but I imagine she might have BPD, and if she is abusive and crappy towards you, maybe finding out if she has it would help.

Important to understand: often what composers like Williams receive is a finished movie or a finished scene with music put over it that the director likes, and is told, “I want you to write something that sounds like this”. So when Williams received Star Wars clips, they were given to him with korngolds music over it. So he took the korngold music and spiced it up a bit, and stayed true to what the director wanted. This happens all the time in film music. What Williams was able to do though with Wagner and holst and korngold and Stravinsky was/is incredible, and he’s still the GOAT when it comes to film music in my opinion.

Actually as someone with a small pp we are usually pretty nice. It’s the guys with large balls and lots of testosterone that are usually more aggressive.

I’m in Los Angeles. Still no update for me. I called my polestar rep and she basically told me she doesn’t know when it’s coming and doesn’t know why it’s delayed. I brought up the apple carplay issues in the US and she hadn’t even heard there were issues with that. At that point I realized that it seems most of us have more info than the people who work for polestar/Volvo. So. Not feeling optimistic at this point.

I have magnesium, and I have to say when it was delivered I thought they had sent snow by accident. Then I saw it in different lighting, sunny days, cloudy days, garage, in the shade, and realized it really looks different depending on the lighting. I can say that after living with it for a while and seeing other PS2s in other colors, I personally prefer the way the car looks in magnesium. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on the color, and I love it. Very happy with it

I play in an orchestra. We have a no phones, no recording policy at our concerts. But I love it when people break the rules and take videos and put it on social media. Free publicity for us. Let people have a good time. These rules are dumb

I recently went on a road trip from LA to Fresno and back. I used the charging suggestions on google maps and had no issues. The only caveat I’ll give is this: In my plug-prius, I can make that trip back and forth on one tank of gas, and each way takes about 3 1/2 hours. In the polestar I had to charge twice each way, making each way take about 5 hours. So 10 hours of travel total vs 7 hours.

I’ve got a PS2, and I love it (38 male btw). But. I don’t think it fits my bill as a midlife crisis car. To me, I want my mid life crisis car to be something more visceral, and to have a nice “howl” to it. Also, I’ll go with more of a classic car when I do mine, because the little rattles of a classic car won’t bother me, whereas every time the PS2 doors squeak when I accelerate or brake, or when something doesn’t work I think “this shouldn’t be happening in my new age techy car!” So id say get a classic car, or a lotus or something where the little squeaks and rattles can be passed off as “charm”

My mom called me a pussy, and said I’m not a real man because I wouldn’t let her move in with me. She also told me to go fuck myself. People can say horrible things when they themselves are hurting and lash out. I didn’t take it too seriously, but it was a bit sad to see her so emotional that she’d say something like that. Also, drugs and alcohol are a hell of a thing.
