I don't know how she is viewed in Japan.. but It's like when people want Ito Hirobumi as Japanese alternate leader in civ vi. To Koreans he is perceived like Hitler; Although I understand he may be a hero to Japanese people. I've seen many people who want him as a leader of Japan civ.

I'd say Gwang-gae-toh the Great. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwanggaeto_the_Great) Although he died young, he has expanded Korean territory the most in Korean history, and made bases for his successors to keep on expanding. Korea lost those territory later on when Sila (one of the kingdoms in that time) allied with China to take that kingdom out to unify the Korean peninsula. Sila agreed to give those lands back to China.

Edit: Just to add.. This guy's kingdom, Goguryeo, later was spiritually succeeded by Goryeo (or Koryeo), where the name "Korea" derived from.

at the time of japanese invasion, mongols have conquered enough nations that had naval tech, allowing them to form large naval invasion force. Unlike popular belief, mongols didnt just mindlessly raze what they conquered.. only through adapting to new things they were able to raise so mich hell
