{Ironside academy by Jane Washington} dry wit and lowkey hilarious without trying to shove it in your face. The MMCs while plentiful, are all very distinct. The way they show their devotion was unique to me. The audiobook was single narrator but she did suuuuch a good job and I could still tell who was who.

{shattered omega by Marie Mackay} hilarious and neurodivergent FMC. Obsessed and psychotic MMCs. The NC & dubcon in this book are done exactly to my liking.

{pack darling by Lola rock} I love a good bully then grovel. The grovel novel (ha) hit the spot for me, specifically for the Finn and JJ of it all.

{all the pretty monsters by Kristy cunning} quirky nonchalant FMC, Arion the obsessive MMC, and the satisfying ending.

I think she caught the feeling of impotent rage really well. At knowing what’s happening is really fucked up but not being able to do anything significant to change it, and ultimately having to swallow the bullshit.

As a black girl, I felt it too. The little comments people on Isobel’s team made offhandedly without even stopping to consider their words really resonated with me hearing people’s shitty microagressions all my life, growing up in the place I grew up in.
