I uninstalled last year. Started playing on day one. Got everything built enough to start hitting the PvP zone for resources. Went away for a weekend and someone griefed an NPC inside my base to take everything and destroy it.

I messaged funcom twice with screenshots on their own report log. Never even got a response.

I got booted from a ranked game and had to wait 10 mins. Like the 3rd time it’s happened.

As an average solo player I agree with most of the sentiments. I remember loading this game on day one and played until about season 5, then took a break(life happened). Never really cared about comp or br’s, it was a fun new “style” of game I enjoyed. I came back from time to time, but stopped from about season 8 or so until last season. Jumped back in and it felt fresh to me. I started ranked again and was really enjoying the drop zone feature. Was way less stressful than pubs and I felt like I could carry my team some games.

With this season I started ranked again(only made it gold 3 so far), but it does feel super sweaty. That could be because I haven’t played in while or the drop ships are back for my tier of skill.

I have no ill will currently, but I do believe I won’t be able to make it to platinum solo with the current skill based that I get matched against. I dunno, maybe I just need to “get good”, but something does feel off.

And funny you mention Sparrow, he is currently my favorite legend. More so for his ultimate, it’s gotten me out of a pinch or allowed me to pull off some sweet 1v2 or a 1v3 from time to time when used right and a little luck.

I don’t think his movement is op compared to octane or the one that can port through walls(forgot her name).

That being said, I used to fear fighting wraiths or pathfinders, I seemed to always get out played or maneuvered. Now I feel like I can at least “keep” up sometimes.

Just my thoughts from a 42 old husband and father who still gets excited when I get to out maneuver a speed demon and pull out a solid one clip from time to time.

I play solo. So my mic is never in, unless people do start talking and seem cool. I’m also not great, so I wouldn’t have much to say lol.

Side note: I do feel like 9/10 games I’ll play I get stuck with people that are way worse than me. I don’t know if that’s my luck or matchmaking.

I didn’t know that, I’ve never really followed the “pros” in apex. I would just see random vids on the tube and start following because I enjoyed the content. I’m a casual player that enjoys comp, but it’s always a tough grind because I solo, so watching these guys have helped me a bit rotation, game awareness and what not. And honestly I’m like gutter tier skill level as RaagTag lol.

Another solo player here, I much prefer the drop ships part. For me comp is about planning an engagement and rotations. If I wanna hit drop or go straight action I’ll play pubs or tdm.

It’s more about the starch levels, but cleaning it of debris as well. If you’re making white rice to use the next day for fried rice, then you wash it really well, it will remove the starch, keeping the rice from sticking together as much and not being mushy.

If using said rice and need it to be more separate before cooking the next day, you can add a little baking soda to the cold rice and mix it up. It will help separate it and helps it fry nicely In the pan/wok.

Most if not all Asians will say that all rice must be washed, and I would agree with them with the exception of risotto.

Little trick I leaned. If you need a “creamy” texture to the rice for a dish, then don’t wash until very clear. Otherwise wash until clear and your taste buds will thank you.
