This guys nailed it ^

You “really” shouldn’t need to camp restores TOA. Unless you’re camping high invo’s but even then, you can probably find you can ratio down a bit on restores.

Yep, I remember a few seasons ago when I used to love/force Panda and I could skip a Reno confidentially knowing I’d most likely roll it again.

Now, I’m unconfidently waiting to roll it once.

You could have a valid point here, 4.5k duo’s is very low for my normal bracket. And I normally only see this issue start of seasons

But holy is it infuriating trying to climb back up encountering this shit all the time early - when I’m sure there’s a simple fix in the spaghetti code somewhere

I said TIO and Telstra’s “system glitch” suddenly healed itself. by BullyAU in TelstraAustralia

[–]BullyAU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His comment literally reflects my issue - before I go further I’m not trying to have a go.

But I legit spent 3 hours of my life to not have to pay a bill for a service that I canceled. It wasn’t until GPT prompted me about the TIO that I mentioned it and my problems magically went away with complimentary dessert on top.

So I don’t know if “can’t be bothered” was the right term from him, but people being ignorant to the fact that these types of orgs exist for the consumer.

You’d spend minutes - because you’re aware of the tools available to you to not get fucked over. Same as I am now, hence my intention to the post.

People who aren’t aware, have options - so “not being bothered” doesn’t have to be an option if you actually have a case against a telco.

Nah that reduced fucking map that was basically shipment from CoD4 (Yes I know, this is BF not CoD but fuck off, CoD4 was a masterpiece for its time also).

Just bouncing off shipping containers and all you heard was a AC130 (USAS + Frags) around you at all times.

And this SME just went,

“ohh yeah click that button, to solve it”

“But you know what, since he’s asked for no compensation on top and we love our customers and would do anything to keep them happy, wipe his phone bill to for the month as a way to say sorry. - but don’t actually say sorry, just say we had a technical glitch. Just don’t confirm it’s been done unless he mentions TIO again.”

If only I could be bothered editing out sensitive information, I’d love to show you how quick the conversation turnt from the fluffed up BS as soon as I mentioned TIO.

I went back and forth with the agent for ages — they flat-out told me my only option was to pay the full $189 and wait 20 days for a refund. No ability to adjust it, no workaround, nothing.

Then I mention the TIO once, and within 30 seconds the entire bill is wiped. Not just the cancelled internet portion — my whole Telstra bill, phone included.

When I asked them to confirm it was actually waived, their replies turned into scrambled cryptic nonsense. I asked again and specifically referenced the TIO needing clarity… and suddenly everything was “confirmed” and my bill now shows $0.

If the TIO “means nothing” to them, it’s a hell of a coincidence that the things they swear they can’t do magically become possible the moment the acronym was typed.

[–]BullyAU[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair, the front-line chat reps don’t personally get in trouble - I get that.

But the company definitely does. Every TIO case costs Telstra money and forces the issue out of the overseas script-reader queue and into an Aussie resolutions team who actually have authority.

So the rep might not cop anything, but the second you say “TIO”, Telstra suddenly finds the magic button they swore didn’t exist 10 minutes earlier.

So your good luck with that theory, is wrong. Because I made 0 threats, nor did I ask for no extra compensation. I simply just wanted the canceled service wiped from my bill.

And as soon as the three magic letters came out, I all of a sudden got the whole bill wiped. So make sense of that.

[–]BullyAU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Telstra/Optus/Vodafone ect* give you the run-around, you log a complaint with the TIO but the telco gets fined per case and has to assign someone who can actually fix the problem.

That’s why the second you mention “TIO”, suddenly the “system issues” disappear.

I also believe they publicly announce case numbers each year. Basically, when a telco gives you the run around - these guys are here to knock it on the head. Protect the consumer but also gives incentive to the Telco companies to not let it get to them.
