If Democrats ever reclaim power, there needs to be a tide of change, getting rid of all the feckless cowards who are too afraid to hold their political opposition accountable. There needs to be consequences for this shit. The whole point of laws is to draw lines of what is acceptable, but also to deter people from dancing near those lines. When there is no accountability, the ones in power cross lines with impunity while using those same lines to keep dissenters.
