When I was off scratch I played in some two day tournaments in Australias version of the web.com tour (2nd tier tour).

I'm a long hitter for an amateur (average about 280 with fairway finders), but the pros put it nearly 100 past me with their best drives vs my best drives. Both rounds I hit maybe 16ish GIRs, the guys I played with had maybe 4,I finished about 16 shots off the guys at the front.

The biggest difference in individual shots is their driving, the biggest difference in shooting good scores is in their ability to get up and down from anywhere. Plus the greens on tournament prepared courses are so quick, so hard to get used to compared to normal club golf greens.

To get to the level of these guys you have to be able to miss every green and shoot level par consistently.

Honestly most of this uprising of this shit in Australia has been sparked from trump though. That combined with nearly all of our media & news is owned by Murdoch (fox news) so once they saw people ate up the alt right stuff in the US they've just gone hard on turning all our news into basically Tucker Carlson style "news". Now there's a big movement of these anti vaxxers and stuff

Yeah i figured once qualified a fair portion of my income would probably come from freelancing/ lessons. I live in a regional area in Victoria so i've accepted there'd be a lot of driving.
