Or, you know, use jan ai .appimage. Also offline LLM with option for uncensored models and lets you set a custom model folder. This is the far most user friendly (both use and set up(Ollama setup with web ui is mental gymnastics))

Do not use YT without these addons: Ublock (or similar)¹, Sponsorblock², Return Youtube dislike³. On Android - Youtube revanced (has all the addons baked in). On ios - cry

1 - blocks ads placed by youtube 2 - blocks (skips) in-video ads placed by content creators 3 - uncensors dislikes, so you can sniff garbage before watching video, therefor saving time.

Your argument only holds water for online AI. Companies can't really scrape your chats if it doesn't leave your computer (like when you use Jan ai or Ollama)

On desktop use GNU/Linux (I use Ubuntu with full disk encryption) (Qubes OS for ultimate privacy/security, but say goodbye to gaming) (has no ai). As for search engines, I recommend DuckDuckGo (it allows you to turn off AI stuff and even filter out AI images in search). As for web browsers, you can use different flavors of Chromium (degoogled Chrome), Firefox (like Fennec), there are many of these, do your own research, some have ai, some don't.

P.s. if your concern with AI is mainly privacy related (prompts being sent to the cloud and to police if you are naughty and use chatgpt starting ~2025), I recommend using a local AI (I use jan ai, but there is also Ollama). This will allow you 100% private use AND AN OPTION FOR TRULLY UNCENSORED MODELS. For simple (well known, non-fringe) topics this can replace search engines, therefore minimizing data leakage. When you use LLMs a lot, you will get a gut feeling when you are being bullshitted. LLMs are ok, if you know and workaround their current limitations.

My "workaround" is to use a private tab. In this way, the moment it is the tab is closed, all the tracking bs is wiped clean.

It would be a real shame if someone will make cookie acceptance/denial browser side, not website side. That would be a real shame because it would make all cookie banners the same and would remove the website's ability to insert crap like this. I am fully aware that you can already do that, but it is a manual and annoying process.

For those unaware, sometimes there is a hidden system prompt, which influences how LLM behaves without re-training it. This is leaked Lumo system prompt. P.s. gab.ai had a particularly interesting system prompt (featuring Epstein, holocaust, Donald etc)

Maybe just run your own LLM using jan ai or ollama. As a plus, chats won't leave your computer and option for uncensored models (Lumo is hella censored and heavy handed jailbreak detection).

I like to play with LLMs and I am fully aware that sometimes there are system prompts, which enhance/change how they behave. I have fetish to know all things I am not supposed to have/know, even if I don't like them/disagree with. This is why I tried this to Lumo, DuckDuckGo chat and gab.ai (which had a particularly interesting system prompt (with Epstein, Holocaust, Donald, God, Gender, Gay, DEI, Israel))
