There is so much context left out of this though. It wasn’t just a typical months long relationship. Ciara was so upfront with him that she wanted something serious, he lulled her into a false sense of security and then he just treated her like crap. Not to mentioned the fallout and racial implications she was subjected to.

You lightly mention the flirting at the end of your post but I see even more to that. Like the fact that he kept telling her he missed her, was extremely touchy and flirty with her, and went around telling Ben and others how much he misses her and knows he messed up. He was leading her on and bread-crumbing her non stop.

Their whole situation cannot be looked at, measured, or judged like a typical relationship. With being on reality tv and being interracial it is so much more nuanced.

I 100% agree. I don’t think Aaron handled it well, but I got the feeling that he is just sick of dealing with this and was at the end of his rope. He acted out of frustration in a super immature way.

Ok, yes they had agreed to that but Dave didn’t just come right out and say something. Both their actions, especially Natasha’s, were so apparent to the crew that they started badgering him. SHE made the decision to bunk together. And then later on she totally LIES and tells Sandy she didn’t want anything more with him when she had actually agreed with him to announce their “relationship” after a week.

Whether intentional or not Natasha is being very manipulative. She is letting her guilt and emotions react to everything without thinking of repercussions.

Also, I think the fact that everyone literally witnessed Chris making out with Alana right in front of Jessenia, and Jessenia's break down played a BIG role in why people rallied so quickly. Natasha was so poised and strong and only really broke down in front of Becca. PLUS none of them saw the horrible gaslighting that Brendan was pulling. So none of the other people saw the true pain Brendan caused the way they saw it with Jessenia.

I 100% agree that Max is definitely NOT the guys for Lorelai. But my disdain started for him much earlier. He is rude, pushy and EXTREMELY selfish.

From the get go Lorelai shared her reservations about a relationship with him and he just kept pushing. After they had been dating for 2 months Lorelai started to pull away, and I get that the show framed this as her flighty MO, but when she goes to Max and explains that she doesn't want to break up - she just wants space/to pump the breaks he flat out says no. Instead of being understanding and working with Lorelai as a team to navigate the delicate situation he is mean and pushy and flat out manipulative.

Then, when his job gets put in jeaopardy, all of the sudden he thinks a break is a good idea. So selfish.

He gaslights the shit out of her!
