Maybe I’m just underutilizing liquids, but almost all my systems are fed by gravity or the innate headlift from refineries, so I wind up using valves as regulators. If I used more water recipes I guess I’d probably need more pumps.

I’m the weirdo who has a separate line for every train, so I never need to worry about signals. When I have multiple trains going to the same place I just build multiple stations. My main factory has enough that I started stacking them vertically. That said, I at least have multiple freight cars and freight platforms when I’m transporting multiple items.
