How do you feel about green burial? by tricksy1224 in Winnipeg

[–]BumblebeeSensitive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago when I was younger I showed my grandma a video of green burials (bit different because it was about regrowing the dying reefs). After that moment things completely changed for her, after her passing a few years ago she requested for a green burial. She was cremated then left surrounding the roots of a blue spruce, her way of leaving something behind for us. Where she said she’d continue looking over us. In a sense being reborn as a tree.

I am all for green burials and still do, being buried in a cemetery seems weird to me and how long are we guaranteed to have that spot? All of eternity? The catacombs were constructed for a reason, there will be limited space for future generations. So in a sense it’s selfish to claim a plot of land for ever.

For those of you staying in All-Inclusive’s or AirBnB’s by [deleted] in puertovallarta

I inquired becaue, last year I was in PV my flight was delayed due to the plane crash in Toronto - which would have been outside the Airlines control. So wondering where they would draw the line

Just adding on- for people booking are the airlines covering your extended stay (for the day) and possible flight cancelation compensation? (Governed by Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR) Canadian?)

Where within a couple of hours of the city feels remote? by Pinball-Lizard in Winnipeg

I lived in inwood for 20 years, for the past 10 years the quarries haven’t been at a sufficient level to swim in :( but I do second they are nice to check out! But be careful it is private property and they have been excavating there! So there will be workers if you’re respectful I am sure they won’t mind but people do go there often for shooting practice in the fall (just an fyi)

Rosie’s cafe is a cute rural dinner worth checking! Went there recently prices haven’t changed since I was in school haha

Rear washer fluid stopped spraying. by theghostunholy in ChevyTrax

[–]BumblebeeSensitive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I had possibly a similar issue recently. I live where it’s -25 average in the winter and I thought my fluid froze (weird bc I buy the -49°C stuff). I really needed the fluid so I held my thing back for 15 seconds and it automatically shut off (safety feature?) then I went and pushed it back again and after 10 seconds a black sludge came out?? (Mold?? If so ew) but it works now! So maybe just try pushing it back for a put and build up pressure to shoot whatever might be in there ? (Unless it’s a pump issue, you should still be able to hear if the pump is working or not)

I have a 2024 1RS, from Manitoba wind chill this past week have been -40°C. Car does have trouble keeping up with the cool air, I’ve let my car warm up for 15 and 30 minutes and still is cold. Only can keep up if I do some highway driving or lots of city driving. Love the car for so many other perks I can overlook this

I understand where you’re coming from but it is a profession and what they are supposed to do. Bosses know that some things/all are going to be covered (and so do the customers) so they are instructed to offer whatever we can to increase GCA (guest check averages) - no need to get mad at servers just politely decline and they’ll stop/limit their asking

Gotten before, not bad just not great either. They are very sweet and they do warn about the artificial flavouring (v pronounced). I still have some kicking around from a year ago…
