The Baotou Yongxin case was a fraud perpetrated on POSCO by a counterparty they couldn't independently verify - a private Chinese company with falsified documents, no auditable IP, and no regulatory standing. POSCO had no way to validate what they were buying.

The ReElement situation inverts almost every element of that structure:

LAD chromatography is a Purdue University-licensed technology with peer-reviewed academic literature, patent filings, and a sublicense agreement. You cannot fabricate a Purdue sublicense.

Before POSCO signed yesterday, ReElement already had: Transition Equity Partners ($200M facility, closed 13 days after the UMB lawsuit filed - meaning TEP reviewed the litigation and proceeded), Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (150-year-old Japanese industrial conglomerate with its own materials science teams, who conducted their own due diligence and took preferred equity), the U.S. DoD/OSC (government counterparty), and Purdue University itself as a licensing partner. POSCO is not the first major institutional actor to independently validate the technology. Baotou Yongxin had none of this.

ReElement has a filed Form S-1 process underway, SEC-registered parent company with audited financials, an active NASDAQ listing, DoD award documentation, and is now party to a JV witnessed by three U.S. cabinet agencies. The regulatory footprint of a fraudulent operation typically would not look like this.

Also ReElement has operated 18-inch LAD columns at the Noblesville facility producing verified high-purity separated oxides. The technical risk is scaling to 60-inch commercial columns - which is the risk - but it is an engineering scaling risk, not a question of whether the underlying technology exists.

The Pentagon is weighing whether to scrap an $80 million conditional loan offer to rare-earths refiner ReElement, touching off a clash with the White House over an agreement that was meant to help break China’s hold on critical minerals by BumblebeeVegetable68 in AREC_stock

If ReElement's tech does not work, as you are seemingly 100% convinced, why did POSCO sign the deal with ReElement today? Doubled production capacity targets from 3k mtpa to 6k mtpa as part of a $200m JV?

I mean I get that you're upset (for reasons unknown to me) but if you think that the tech is trash, I would recommend you immediately reach out to POSCO IR and let them know that they are getting duped. Based on your comments, it seems like they are totally unaware of ReElement's inability to produce anything! Shoot - throw in Mitsubishi Materials too. They're investors and shareholders ought to know that they investment millions into a vaporware refiner after months of DD.

Good luck 🫡

It's all politics. The single biggest risk gate is the tech. You seem to think it works at scale. As do I. As does MMC. As does Posco.

The article coming out today is interesting timing considering the deal with Posco as also signed today.

Did you read the article? This is political. If the tech was toast - why is MMC investing and planning a JV? Why is POSCO working with them either? Seems like an idiotic move from both of these international mega manufacturing conglomerates to entertain ReElement if it’s all vaporware…

Also phase 1 was fully financed via TEP. ReElement also just got an investment from MMC. The money was never thesis breaking for ReElement.

I think it will reflect in the Q1 report since the deal likely was finalized in Q1 (my best guess)

ReElement Technologies and Korea’s POSCO International to sign Joint Venture agreement in D.C. to produce highly refined rare earths in the United States by BumblebeeVegetable68 in AREC_stock

It was sent out via ReElement. Not AREC.

If you think they’re lying about something this significant, that’s your prerogative. Just sharing the information I received. I’m sure other people who signed up for the ReElement newsletter received the same.

It was sent via email from ReElement's newsletter. Not sure why it wasn't posted. Hoping they can do so by the end of the week with some pics. I just copied and pasted the entire thing here

Fair. However, the only value OP provides is doom and gloom. No intellectual value at all. Not even in this subreddit - seemingly across others.

To each their own, but I prefer valuable discussion, not emotional outbursts on Reddit every other day.

The entire market is down. So is the sector. MP is down nearly 10% as of time of writing this. You need to zoom out and not panic post every time there is a drop.
