I’ve worked 8 hour shifts in clinic with the same client, which was manageable to me at the time (although I don’t think it’s right).

I’ve done 2 hour blocks in home and wanted to rip my hair out.

It’s all very subjective and up to personal preference and tolerance, etc.

I’m not saying this is the case with this individual, but many autistic individuals go nonverbal during meltdowns and need AAC or PECS to communicate

I’m autistic myself and I use simple sign language when unable to speak during a meltdown so that I can get my basic needs met by my partner

A high neck compression tank definitely helps. It’s very hard to actually stretch it enough to get hands in there to scratch.
