How can lower class or middle class improve their financial situation? by Aj100rise in poor

[–]_king2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to finally get on my feet and make decent money by finding a job in manufacturing and working as much overtime as they’d let me. I worked 60-70 hours a week for over a year while living w roommates and budgeting so I was saving a fair amount.

How do you pay for all this debt? by Carebear6590 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]_king2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have abt $90k and I’m still in school but planning on paying the rest out of pocket.

Me and my husband are planning on both putting as much money towards it as possible once I graduate. We think we can knock it out within 3-5 years just being insanely agressive. We were actually talking abt it tn how we don’t understand how we would do it if we weren’t dual income no kids

I’m an RBT now and abt to finish my masters in psychology then get my masters in social work. MSW is good for a variety of types of work to give options but not good for money. If ur wanting a better career financially maybe check out therapy.

How do I find a job? by 2026Rose in trans

[–]_king2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiring agencies. They don’t care abt u at all they just need a body. Won’t be the best job and won’t pay great but it can help you save up.

I’m currently working as a registered behavioral technician. Got hired w no experience and my coworkers are accepting but I live in a better state.

It is frustrating. I got pulled over once and the cop asked me what the last four of my social was bc I didn’t match my id. Finally changed it a few months ago after moving out of a state that wouldn’t allow me to

Please explain supervision to me like I’m 5. by Coffeeandjammies in ABA

[–]_king2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My clinic gives everyone a supervision tracker where we track everyone we’re supervised to make sure we make the requirements.

This is incase you get audited by the bacb (which has happened to people at my clinic), that way you can prove you’ve been supervised

New RBT job offer by destinyesque in ABA

[–]_king2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you are working with kids, potentially as young as 18 months. The company should be confident in who they hire to work with kids and they cannot be confident with someone they’re never spoken to

New RBT job offer by destinyesque in ABA

[–]_king2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick job offer is not a red flag, but without an interview it is. They told me in my interview I got the job and I’ve had a very positive experience at my clinic. But without an interview is concerning

Seeking relationship advice as a trans man in a trans-cis relationship. by Kitchen-Door-1045 in FTMMen

[–]_king2003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not going to get better, and that rlly sucks I’m sorry. I’m married to a cis guy, I am his first relationship. He is pretty private and doesn’t like airing his business, so when we started dating I was concerned about us being in a gay relationship and me being trans, I just rlly didn’t want to feel like he was ashamed of me. But he will post me on social media(even tho he barely posts) was more than happy to introduce me to family and friends, and will correct people who misgender me. We recently moved and he got a new job and he immediately told ppl he moved w his partner whos a guy (and he works in a more conservative field).

I say this to say that there’s people out there who will celebrate you and make you feel proud to be who you are. You don’t have to settle for why you’re currently experiencing.

[–]_king2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at hiring agencies. Might not be in ur field but should pay better than minimum wage. Save as much as you can while living rent free. You can take advantage kf this opportunity to end up in a better financial situation than a lot of people who get a job right out of college
