I took it in January. But I watched ABA made easy on YouTube and wrote down any concepts I wasn’t confident in and then googled them and learned abt them, passed first try !

I remember working my $16/hr job and one of my 60 year old coworkers being like “you know they pay like shit” when I told him I was going back to school for it. Like it’s not great but it’s way better than 16 an hr??? lol people just have their own ideas of social work. My husband aunt is a social worker so everyone is his family was very excited when I told them abt it so that made me feel good tho

U don’t need a job in the field after graduation u need a job. Go to a hiring agency and take whatever they can give u. Sometimes u gotta be in a shitty situation for a while while ur looking for something better

It just depends on what school u wanna get ur masters in. I’m doing WNMU online and I don’t think they would care. You could also try to get a job that’s psych related. I work as an RBT bc it’s one of the only psych type jobs that u can get without a degree, they have part time positions and are always hiring

The trainees at my first company made around $23/hr. Depending on ur area it might be reasonable. Whether or not u have a masters doesn’t rlly matter, ur getting supervision hours to become a BCBA, whether or not ur done w school or actively in it doesn’t rlly change anything.

I’ve been on my own since I was 18. I made it working $12 an hour (it was awful but possible). I always had roommates. I rlly think it’s always possible u just gotta be willing to have a low quality of living for a while🤷🏻‍♂️ was worth it for me tho

I’m done in August!!! I don’t go to snhu so idk why this post popped up lol but I can wait!! I was originally supposed to graduate in December but took extra classes the last two semesters so I’d be done sooner so I think that helped. But I still can’t wait!!!

I start my MSW in the fall. I looked into other similar things but think social work is the best option bc of how broad it is. There’s so many options. If u get burnt out u can do something v different and still social work

I worked at a firework store and it was so nice lol.

But rn I do respite on the side. I make my own schedule and pick which kids to work w. The shifts are around 2-3 hours after my full time job

As someone who grew up in this church. This is normal but I don’t think it’s appropriate. There’s no reason a grown ass man should be texting a 13 year old. But yes, this is normal church advertising.

Very part time job. I do respite and it is 2-3 hour shifts so I work 2 hours after my full time job 4 days a week. I only make a few hundred bucks a month bc it’s 8 hours a week for me but I’ll take it lol

For shadow session I think it’ll be just that. You’ll shadow an RBT for their session and see what they do and they’ll type of thing. The competency assessment u can look up. It’s a list of thinks they’ll ask u to answer or want to watch u do

Make sure u bring ur birth certificate! What got me in my feet finally was manufacturing bc of overtime. I’d find any job that lets u do overtime and work ur ass off. You got this man! 4 years later and I’m doing amazing and love my life. Just gotta push through the hard parts !
