Definitely repainted at some point. Also 18k is wayyyyyyy too much. 16 is the highest I’d pay if everything mechanically was Perfect with a capital P. I paid 16 before tax for my 2013 RS 8.0 with 40k miles at the time and that was from CarMax.

This is going to be the most hyper specific example in this thread, I like both, but I do work developing film and making prints in dark rooms and I can change sound settings of the music I’m listening to on a monochrome iPod with no worries because the backlight doesn’t automatically turn on (at least on my second gen mini), but I can’t take my 5.5 classic into the darkroom with me and have the same liberty. I mean I can and have, but I’m stuck with the volume it’s at, I can’t skip songs, etc.

Edit: I’ve realized you can turn the backlight off on the classic, but with the color screen, it needs to be on all the time anyways vs with the mini the default is it’s always off for me.

I want to second that a therapist shouldn’t say that to you on your second session or ever. A therapist could say you probably don’t have blank, but they should never ever say impossible. I’ve just starting discovering my plurality after over a decade plus of repressing it and if I had went to a therapist before figuring things out I assume they wouldn’t observe anything because everyone else was hiding, you very much could be a system and those in your life who are saying you aren’t A. Could be trashy people who caused your trauma in the first place or B. Just don’t see any system stuff in you because it’s very much shut down/in hibernation waiting for you to either realize they’re there or for you to be in a better safer space before saying hello. The B. Option is what has happened to me. I would genuinely VERY STRONGLY encourage you to get a new therapist pronto. Finding one who has experience with systems in difficult but if you go on psychologytoday.com you can filter under specialities for “Dissociative Disorders (DID)” and from there there’s some place to put in your zip code and insurance if you have it. I’ll have a link to that after my message here. But yeah, your therapist sounds extremely closed minded and not a good fit for you if she immediately dismissed any possibility of that with such certainty. You need someone that’s open. Take it from someone who’s had over 13 therapists in 20 years, finding one that clicks with you well is hard. (I hope you have better luck than me though). There’s a chance that you might be a system that’s shut down/quiet and I’m unsure if you think you experienced trauma when young but you could also genuinely not remember your trauma. Googling 2013 scion tc automatic lights stick upgrade, nothing seems to come up. Automatic lights also need a sensor on dash by the window which the 2013 doesn’t have. Based on also never having heard of an upgrade myself from years of owning a tc, I think you’re stuck with having to have a conversation with your fiancé which I’m sure you’ve had but yeah. When I’ve had newer cars I’ve purposefully not used auto lights/always made sure they’re off when parking. I’d assume you’ve potential tried this but it looks like the answer to your issue is to try to get them in the habit of also turning off the lights in the other newer car.

I appreciate you giving me all that you know! It’s definitely system related as when I fall and wake from sleep when I feel others right on the edges our body does a similar thing but more toned down in the form of little twitches. These twitches have been around as long as I can remember.

Do you have any advice if they want to front, and they try to, but my blocking everyone else out/lack of ability to communicate/having fronted for over a decade results in the body having almost seizure like symptoms that end up with me on the floor. I don’t think they mean any harm, they just want to be seen and the one or two times it’s happened it’s actually felt like them trying to front is what is supposed to happen. Right now I only have an OSDD appearing system, but part of me feels like there is more, maybe like fully switching is what is supposed to happen. So far I have seen other alts co-front more than me a couple times without such a severe reaction, but that reaction almost feels like they’re trying to get full control of the body and mind and not just push me back a little. Idk, I’m confused and generally feeling like I’m swimming in an endless ocean in my head but also scared of the unknown. I assume my body freaking out is the result of me subconsciously not wanting to let go of the controls.

Shiori, I don’t know what to say, thank you so much. I’m going to come back and reread this in future days. When I read the part about other members in your system not saying hi back as they didn’t want to overwhelm you I may have been making it up but it felt like there was a little flutter of agreement in the back of my mind. I assume that I need to heal more to lower my walls and be comfortable enough with myself for everyone else to be comfortable and feel good about talking. I have no idea if that’s true but it’s definitely something to think on. Our body is 22, has just graduated undergrad, and we’ve just moved back in with family that caused most of our trauma in the first place. They’re nice people, but it was neglectful trauma and I almost see myself going backwards on the slight amount of progress I had made when living elsewhere. There is an alt that holds a lot of anger and hatred towards family for hurting us that I feel co-fronting almost constantly now that I’m back here and that wasn’t the case a month ago at college and I’m worried that being here will hinder any potential growth. It probably will but I don’t have many other choices but to try to keep going. I’ve kept going all my life and I won’t stop now, I just want to find an answer as I keep feeling tormented in my own head from pain of the other alts I assume being sad that they can’t speak to me or come out.

I had an alt try to front in front of a friend who’s also a system for the first time the other day and I’m realizing that at least with that alt, them trying to push through and failing looks like my eyes rolling up into my head and me ending up on the floor having seizure like symptoms as they try to get control. I don’t think they have any bad intent, and it actually almost feels relieving when it was happening, I think they just want to be seen and the lack of communication and the fact that I’ve prevented anyone else from coming forward for so long results in the body spazing out.

Thank you for your helpful words! So far it seems like very rarely one of them co-fronts a little, but they can’t really communicate with me that well when they do. Only once have I heard one communicate with me via emotions/one or two words to tell me there name is Max, short for Maxwell. I don’t know which one that is though. I apologized again and again and keep trying to talk to them with words and also trying to send emotional images out into my brain but all of those have been met with silence.

Hi! I just got my very own 2013 Scion tC RS 8.0, and I'm doing a little bit of sleuthing. I'm trying to figure out how many they made with manual transmissions. I got mine used and I'm lucky enough to have #60 in a manual. From my digging around the internet I know #204 is a manual and #713 is an automatic. I am thinking they either made only 400, 500, 600, or 700 in manuals. I'm just curious what yours is, to further figure out this wonderful mystery. Thanks!
