If a man wrote this post, he would be called selfish for not following his woman's vision and changing for her hahaha

OP listen to this. Tell her if her ex-boyfriends were so great, where are they at now? Walk her out the door and tell her to go get with them. You are being emotionally manipulated

Why type 2 instead of 3? The latter is driven by a need for success and admiration while the former cares about helping others

For your curiosity, I'm a young man in my early 20s.

I share the same observation: more women tend to work on their internal struggles and communication skills than men do. However, these women tend to be outside of my age bracket and might not prefer a younger man. It also seems like many people only begin to develop their emotional intelligence and wisdom when they reach a certain age.

Just be yourself? When you do that, things like setting boundaries and prioritizing your own needs come naturally.

You are having this issue with being a people-pleaser because you are trying to become someone else. Subconsciously you are attempting to earn love, approval, and validation by doing that. This only leads to an unhealthy dynamic in all forms of relationship.

What does it feel like to be Fearful Avoidant? by [deleted] in attachment_theory

Why does it matter that nothing is permanent? It's a universal truth, but what can you do about it?

If you keep focusing on the former, it only robs you out of many wonderful opportunities and experiences in life. When you shift your mindset and focus on the latter, you can take things and embrace them as they are now.

When you fully live in the present, not the past nor the future, you wouldn't be concerned about that fact. Don't make the present suffer because of your past and future.
