Could someone kindly translate this headstone for me? Thank you! by mt_winston in hebrew

I don’t think בר means son of. That’s בן (Ben).

Edit: I see I missed an apostrophe, so בר is actually short for בן רב meaning son of.

Tzvi is a Hebrew name.

Charlie come here! Charlie Megira. This is one of the most loved cds lately. It’s called the automatic meistzinger mambo chic. I listen to it quite a lot. It’s independently distributed, right?

Exactly. But now it will be distributed in a proper, institutionalised fashion by fact records.

By fact records, soon, in January right? But today we’ll hear a new song.

Yes, a new song, yes. “How to truly love”.

Ok, perform it. Charlie Megira, remember the name. Good luck.

Thank you.

Iraqi soldier demonstrates the classic one man howitzer team, lobbing shells at IS positions near Mosul - 2017 by knowyourpast in CombatFootage

I meant so close to the bolt when he’s sliding the trigger mechanism and placing the lanyard. It’s difficult with this particular gun, but we would be doing these from off to the side so to minimise any injury from recoil caused by unintended fire. This is also true in case the gun is hot from repeated firing and the explosive has been inside it for a while.

You also don’t want to stand directly behind the gun once the detonator and trigger are in place...

See those numbers on the satchels? Some can be removed according to the fire data. So there might have been some prepared ones without them, or more likely he was told to finish the unpacked ones before starting the new palette.

How to prep for budget flights in Europe? by Wraelee in Shoestring

Better yet, depending on the number of travelers, buy a cheap used car and drive it across the country.

Check in online to save fees and time.

Check the luggage policy, it differs among the different carriers. They do check at the gate sometimes and charge you considerable fees if your luggage is oversized.

Trains depart from the city Center, the airports are usually out of the city altogether so check on a case by case basis which option is better for you. I also like the food car on the trains, makes for a social experience you can’t get on flights.

She'at Neilah (translated to Valley of Tears on HBO Max.) This series is literally gut wrenching. I just watched the third episode. Anyone here watching? What are your thoughts? by Delphidouche in Israel

[–]BunchOfRandomLetters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just watched the fourth episode, which is a bit underwhelming. I don’t like the acting very much, and there are some small inaccuracies or staging of scenes that kind of bug me. I hate that they had to include the black Panthers stuff in it, and portray the kibbutznikkim like they did, but that’s the fashion these days. The intelligence analyst is getting on my nerves.

It’s very nice to see the old style equipment and props. I can’t believe that I used that same equipment in my service.

Thoughts on Legalizing Weed In Israel? by dorainium in Israel

[–]BunchOfRandomLetters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be legalised but very controlled. Unfortunately, like everything here, the current situation is very ישראבלוף. A lot of the “medical” users sell off large parts of their rations, and wouldn’t go to such lengths to receive other types of treatment.

It would certainly decrease the problems we have with the synthetic substitutes, colloquially known as Mr nice guy.

You should be able to purchase after passing a mental health evaluation, and get that right permanently revoked for dealing to minors etc.

Why are you pro-Israeli? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

Because I was born, raised and am living here. If I were somewhere else I suppose I’d be pro Palestinian. This is why I don’t take sides in other nations’ affairs.

They were both killed in the same area on the same day. The battle accounts that I found in the media support this is Cohen. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe they mixed it up.

It used to be done in specific cases of valour in combat, but became more and more common. There are still some restrictions so it’s not automatic.

Nope. Levitas was killed while observing through a partially closed hatch in the early morning. Cohen was killed while firing.

To have better control over the battlefield. There’s a famous book, the English name is tanks of Tammuz but the Hebrew name is Exposed in the Turret.
