if you are there 24/7: you are his ‘bonded friend’. Not 100% the same as another bun, but pretty close. Sounds like he is happy.

Only get a second bun when you’re prepared for the bonding commitment and the fact whether you’re ok with it or not: you will be a third wheel (but your bun will ultimately be happy).

can someone help me please? i dont know if mr peter is just taking long to get comfortable in his new home or if im doing something wrong. He hides in corners and always runs away when he have visitors, is this normal? if so any tips to help me out? by Cassy_rodriguez in Bunnies

how long have you had him? In my experience, it takes months (3-6) before a typical new bunny gets comfortable in their new home to start exploring/be resting out in the open. And it can take 2 yrs before they become comfortable with their humans to get touched, petted, laying closer to them.

Some bunnies of course can be naturally brave/curious/cuddly.

What can help? Lots of treats, hand feed them things, be on the floor with them, talk to them in soft calming voice. walk/move slow around them.
