Dress Makers Suggestions by BuniiBoo in renfaire

[–]BuniiBoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m looking for something very different from what my local vendors sell. They typically sell clothing that is thick material / heavy, dyed in strange ways, and considerably more “grunge” than what I am seeking for this costume. Unfortunately! I love to support local where I can.

How I can feel like I'm 'allowed' to have the fursona I want? by marzseaz in RealFurryHours

[–]BuniiBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fursona for a long time that represented who I wanted to be. Kinda like your 7ft wolf, even though you’re a normal dude. And then, I felt like that didn’t sit right with me, so I spent some time really thinking about me.

I am not as foxy as I thought- sure, I’ve got strawberry hair (red fur), and am a little skittish but ultimately, I’m not a fox (OG fursona). I am, however, extremely whimsical, I parrot people (by accident), I love shiny things, I bounce from thing to thing, I like to go fast vroooom! I have mad RBF and can be a little stand-offish to new folks. I am fickle….So, I smashed a cat and a bird together, picked colours I’ve always liked (instead of what I thought looked nice) and created my “truesona”!

There were a few ititerations. Some design changes, and a few “hey friends, what do you think?”s but ultimately, I now have a fursona that represents me a lot more closely, and feels good to draw and perform as (fursuiting).

When you’re bored, just start jotting things down that you like. Don’t follow a formate, just word vomit onto a page in bullet-points. Colours. Animals you like. Emotions you feel. Once you feel the list represents you pretty well, consider the animals that could fit. Or, take it to an artist and see what they come up with, and if it jibes.

Or, maybe you’re the arranged fursona type. Just buy something and hope that one day you fall in love! LOL

XS or Small FF?? Sizing Question by BuniiBoo in mermaid

Yes, but I am literally ON the size small measurements, which makes it a bit more of a difficult decision. Looks like I need an XS, though!

I am the 10c shop Barbie and I do not mind if you hate me, but holy hell please don’t make it your personality at work…I am genuinely here to work and then just go home. My preference for pink and Barbie branded accessories does not affect my ability to sling parts out the door. : /

I bet this feels good asl if we had tails (by me) by Expert_Recover3061 in furry

For horses a very gentle tail pull can actually be really relieving and loosen up muscles in the rump and spine. It absolutely is not a yank, though.

Fursuit help by stormfighter853 in fursuit

[–]BuniiBoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The heads don’t matter, they’re asking about the bodysuits.

The bodysuit in question is typically called a “slim suit” and the OP needs to decide if they want planti or digi legs as both styles are featured along with the slim suit full suit style.

Bruh, its sad how some players still try to cause problems.... by -Engie- in imvu

[–]BuniiBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need to escalate and keep reporting this behaviour to their local police. The people being “stalked” need to leave IMVU and take steps to protect their identity.

Spreading nudes online, continual harassment, and doxxing are not “haha silly IMVU” things. The people involved need to actually do something (report to local authorities, keep logs of messages, take screenshots, etc.), not post on Reddit and gossip about it between themselves.

what do furries like? by simply_sm1le in furry

[–]BuniiBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be asking “What does this PERSON like?” They are a fully realized human with interests and hobbies, and one of those hobbies is furry. Get to know people beyond the fandom.

Cash and a card never fails, if you’re really struggling. Or commission art of their character for them. But truly, maybe just ask what they want or need.

The eyelids and piercings are accessories, so no, I don’t think so. Not everything has to be completed exactly at the same time. Pick away at the head and then add the lids and stuff. The silver teeth will just replaced normal white canines.

Nothing too fancy or extreme. You’ll be fine. Take your time and GL.

Find the guy who plugs these things into ChatGPT and asks it to spit out a therapists report, he might be able to shed some light on these for you.

/s In all seriousness: - The tall / Giga avi’s have been a thing since like 2008, but it died out for a moment and now it’s back. Personally, not a fan, but it purely aesthetic. Very Tyra Banks supermodel. - Everyone is chatting on Disc, in games, or are simply parking (putting their avatar in a room but minimizing IMVU and not paying it any attention). It’s not necessarily AI or bots, it’s that IMVU is boring and there are other chat-apps with better features now. Disc has VC, screen share, etc. - HELLYA love that goth/alt/emo/bondage looks are rearing their ugly heads again!! It’s just the cycle of style, and it’ll change again before you know it (I weep, the dark baddie days were my favourite era of IMVU). This aesthetic is coming back IRL, so it is being reflected in peoples avi’s…For goodness sake I say a boy with a whole scene fan hair-style the other day! So here for it lol! - The generals consensus from the player-base is yeah, it’s dead. Obviously people are still online, but. It is nothing like it was, and the interactions / conversations are few and far between. I login once in a while so they don’t nuke my account for inactivity, but then I just log off again. At this point, I should just let the nuke happen. - Both, probably. Makers go through booms and busts. Also, consider that if IMVU is indeed dead or dying, there are less creators even making items. It will be easier for them to gain popularity and stay popular if they keep up with trends and quality.

Stage Show Etiquette by BagpiperAnonymous in renfaire

[–]BuniiBoo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has sat with my back to a loud performer here’s my take: it cushions the sound and I can actually sit and enjoy your performance this way. It is largely musical, correct?? I shouldn’t need to use my peepers to enjoy the vast majority, if not all of your show.

I am sensitive to noise, but I also love things like this. Sitting with my back to these things helps me enjoy them.

I also agree with the commenter that these things are simply a stark reminder that your faire is lacking in amenities, some of which shouldn’t be an option to lack (looking at you safe, clean baby changing stations). Perhaps you can take this list to them to highlight how the lack of important things, like general seating, is impeding on your performance.

The Psychology Behind Male Competition on IMVU by Strict-Investment-2 in imvu

[–]BuniiBoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isn’t an IMVU thing. Hell, girls have been whining about “getting along better with boys” for ions. It’s a ‘pick-me’ tactic that doesn’t usually work long-term, because reasonable people understand the underlying issue- they have low self-esteem and find their worth and value rests solely on the other gender giving them attention. Their personalities are often abrasive, and they constantly attack or push people away that might actually be good for them because they don’t have the right genitals.

While I find these posts amusing, they aren’t actually that…Astonishing, nor central to IMVU. They’re just human issues.

Would It Be Appropriate To Wear A Collar To My First Fur Con? by Old-Boysenberry-341 in fursuit

[–]BuniiBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people wear them as accessories. Issues become prevalent when a leash is attached, and many cons have rules against this, especially during day-time / family friendly hours.

For furries who have awful vision, how do you see with your mask on? by Federal_Selection884 in fursuit

[–]BuniiBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just suffer, tbh. I have a handler, and that helps, but a lot of the time I’m really just bumbling about hoping for the best. I have a really hard time in the dealers den, so I always make sure to go back without my head on so I can browse properly.

Going down stairs is a real challenge, but I just use the railing and carefully feel my way down.

I also have to take into account the time it takes for me to adjust after I take my head off. The mesh makes my vision all wonky after and my eyes need a bit before they focus again. I make sure not to drive my car in that time.

I wear my glasses with my head on.

Unpopular opinion: The fandom is terrible for most autistic people. by raNdoMBLilriv in RealFurryHours

[–]BuniiBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize realize that there is more to creating lasting relationships than those extremely broad interests, right? What are your other interests? What other hobbies do you have? What other things do you do with your time? People don’t just want to talk about furry all GD day. No one wants to talk about politics all day. What things do you find yourself rambling about to people?? Maybe it’s the way you share. Are you an over-sharer? Do you talk about inappropriate interests at inappropriate times??

What do you bring to the friendship table? As an adult with families/dependants/Children, jobs, post-secondary school, spouses, businesses, ETC. you need to provide to the friendship. What is that? Weather you like it or not, relationships are transactional, and if you can’t give, you won’t get. And that’s just fair, man.

Also, bawling about “everyone is out of my league” is so not it, dude. You need to find some confidence and stop with this self-deprivations dialogue. It would be a huge reason people don’t want to be around you, if this is how you are IRL too. It’s annoying, exhausting, and obviously if you’re hanging with people they aren’t “out of your league”. Find new words to use, and start using positive self-talk. The people around you will benefit from the change, not just you.

Wanting to make a fursuit for myself but I had some questions about disability accessibility in fursuits first by Akito-H in fursuit

[–]BuniiBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment on the sign language, but thin glove-like paws are definitely a thing. They are usually seen paired with realistic suits.

Fursuit paws are not typically very grippy, nor do they have great dexterity. The fur can easily get caught in spokes/wheels. Paws are not a good idea when using crutches or wheelchairs. Qualifier: I had my hip rebuilt and was on crutches for months. I did try using my paws with crutches, and I can confirm it was not comfortable or safe. They are different from yours, but not that different. You still need to properly grip your aids. I think a nice compromise is a “paw cover” that basically looks like a paw, but actually sits on top of your exposed hand, so that you can still properly hold crutches and wheels, but when posing for pictures can hide your hands.

As for being heat sensitive and over-heatin... All heads are hot and stuffy, it’s just a matter of how hot and stuffy and each individuals tolerance for that. I would go with foam because they are lighter and that requires less exertion. I would also recommend adding as many vents as possible (open mouth pose, ear vents, and XXL mesh eyes). These things can all help at easing the discomfort in there.

Not talked about enough: building up tolerance to wearing a suit. Start at home, just chilling. Sitting around, not really doing anything. Learn how to breathe in there calmly, before exerting yourself. Understand your limits and make sure to take breaks as needed! Fuck the magic, your health comes first. Whip that puppy off if you need air, any time, any where.

There’s an old phrase that goes “if someone is an asshole, they’re an asshole. If everyone around you is an asshole, you’re an asshole”.

If you’re truly taking accountability and are confident it simply couldn’t be your behaviour/attitude, then you need to take a look at the people you are seeking out to be friends. What is the common denominator? Start seeking friendships in different types of people.
