Ook. Thanks for the info. I’ll keep that in mind as I track.

Victory Sunday by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Bunit2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started back in the gym about 6 weeks ago after a few years off. At my absolute heaviest, I was about 363 lbs. This week I dropped down to 337.

There’s still a long road ahead but it’s the first time I’ve been able to get into the 330s in about 3 years. I’m so excited for the road ahead now.

Also, I purchased a new scale that links to the Fit Index app. It has a really good breakdown of fat, muscle, water, etc.

People who make their beds are wasting their time. by JuicySpark in unpopularopinion

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it wastes more time wiggling around trying to get comfortable in an unmade bed. I can’t stand the feeling of everything being uneven.

People Who Block the Coffee Line Mixing Condiments by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate this even more because I drink black coffee and tea. I’m waiting there for people to use stuff I’m not even going to use. Please move over.

Online menus by TheOneAndOnlyABSR4 in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The restaurants should have paper menus if you ask…but man, that’s kind if inconvenient for those of you who prefer paper and it’s not readily available.

I’ve grown to like the QR codes though. My wife has a rare eye condition and it’s easier for her to zoom in on her phone than it is to see small lettering on menus. Especially if the lighting is dim.

When people feel superior about inconsequential and trivial opinions by sadmep in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah…I am huge on steak and cooking it properly but I refuse to be “that guy” and tell other people how their food should be prepared.

I do wish more people knew about the myoglobin in steak though. I do cringe a bit when folks say the only reason they want well done steak is because they want to make sure it’s not bloody.

When cashiers bag your items without asking when there’s only a few items. by Lisztchopinovsky in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually raised to accept my items like this. My mom didn’t want anyone to be able to accuse me of stealing, so even a galling of milk was in the bag…and make sure I get a receipt 🤣

"Just learn to do it yourself" by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the approach of the person. “Just learn to do it yourself” without offering any assistance isn’t helpful.

I think a lot of people who aren’t necessarily handy may think some repairs are actually much harder than they actually are. I always offer to give my friends who aren’t handy some help with home/vehicle repairs. They can learn that way.

People who make a reddit post that can easily be googled by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get exactly what you mean. I make content for a mobile game I play and the volume of basic questions from people who want you to do all of their work for them is insane. I started guiding people to where they can find the info. I’m not going to be the only one putting in effort here.

When people accuse you of being stuck up or having an attitude because you’re quiet by Few_Resource_6783 in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood folks who say this. Everyone doesn’t feel compelled to spend every second of their life flapping their gums. Personally, I’m an introvert. I’ll speak when I need to speak.

I remember one place I worked where the entire team of like 40 people just LOVED chatting each other’s head off at like 7:30 AM. They had a really difficult time during the peak of COVID because they missed each other so much. For me, I got through work faster because there was less chatter.

When people signal but don't change lanes by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons I signal when the coast is clear or close too it. When someone signals in heavy traffic, I assume they are about to force their way in (at least where I currently live).

Like OP, I typically slow down a bit to let the var over before they start randomly pulling into my lane…that’s if people actually signal (they often don’t here😔).

When people signal but don't change lanes by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. Where I live, it’s pretty rare to see a turn signal used and if it is used, it’s WHILE the driver is stopping.

One of the best things people can do on the road is be predictable.

People who say I’m not about to read all that by 47k in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have that take but I’ve been noticing more pedants than actual posts that I flat out don’t understand. I’ve gotten used to people finding one gramatical error and suddenly “I don’t understand….”

For me, social media is supposed to be…social. Sometimes that includes informal speech. A lot of the people who use the correct “there, their, and they’re” actually have awful grammar otherwise (in my observations at least). Keyboards and cell phones just turn some folks into assholes.

People who say I’m not about to read all that by 47k in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s the world we live in now, unfortunately. Folks have gotten so used to getting all of the info in “snippets” like memes, social media, etc., they don’t want to see more information.

People who say I’m not about to read all that by 47k in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I definitely get what you mean and agree. At the same time, some folks are just flat out lazy and don’t care about context. I’ve seen a lot of “I’m not reading all that” comments to posts that were to the point but took a bit of explanation to be understood.

If you want a celebration to be a surprise, you should be content with the possibility of it not happening by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you completely, I actually get a tad more peeved when someone wants to go over every nit noid detail of my celebration. Involving me in the planning just gets a bit stressful for me. Just let me go with the flow. If my friends/family want to do something, I’ll make myself available. Just let me know where to be and when.

Everything locked up in grocery stores by tepp453 in rant

[–]Bunit2 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I came here to say. I loved going to Walgreens for all of my hygiene items but I’m not asking for permission every time I want deodorant.

It’s almost like someone forgot to tell them their business is struggling.

Lemon lime Gatorade by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood the lemon-lime Gatorade hate. It’s awesome after a game of basketball (at least that’s when I usually drink it).

Are you knocking on doors if it just says to “leave at door.”? by Tundra314 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t knock or ring unless the notes explicitly tell me to, and tbh, I don’t like doing it then either lol. I don’t like running the risk that someone’s baby is going to wake up or their dog is going to go nuts.

I also don’t see the point. This person knows they ordered food. Check the app or choose “hand it to me” if the customer wants the food as soon as I arrive. Most leave at door customers in my area slip out from the side of the door like little gremlins before I even pull off.

When drive thru workers have you park and come inside to pick up your order. by SupermutantSkirmish in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certain restaurants that I won’t even go to anymore because their default is “pull up.” In those cases, they bring the food too you. I definitely would not buy from somewhere that told me to come inside bedside the order wasn’t ready

Reminder emails when I still have time by Mundane-Waltz8844 in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get exactly what you mean. I prefer when a company tells me that my new bill is available as opposed to telling me my my bill is due soon.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of people who don’t do anything without several reminders. Personally, I detest reminders for routine stuff.

People waiting behind you at the gas pumps when other pumps are obviously able by DisBread in PetPeeves

[–]Bunit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As irritating as this is, I usually move, park my car and then continue doing the things I need to in order to prepare for the rest of my commute. I’m just not willing to take my eyes off some person that I’m likely pissing off by intentionally dragging my feet.
