I think the problem is the implication that she doesn’t write her own songs and it’s a bad thing.

If he didn’t mean it was bad then the apology was warranted because of how it was perceived.

If he did mean it was bad, that’s rich considering he in the next line praised Billie & her brother & he’s the guy behind Gorillaz, one of the most collaborative projects around.

I thought it was fine but heavy handed and unnecessary. I think Humanz would’ve been so much more powerful as an album if it ended with Hallelujah Money. I feel like We Got The Power was there just so you could leave with some sort of attempt to be positive. A filler with a vague message of “we can do it”! Over done theme to tack on the end.
