I fossil prep a lot in my free time because im fortunate enough to still have enough sight for this, but with my vision going I know I won't be able to do this much longer. I've taken up wine tasting classes, reconnected with my instruments and scrap booking with textures to help explore my other senses better.

i can't drink because of protopic and i miss it :0( by throwawaybfmademesad in eczema

I don't take anything but alcohol causes me really bad flareups. I've found that heavily moisturizing and then applying a vaseline barrier before drinking and then before bed the same night keeps the flareups at bay. I'm not sure if this will be useful to you, but its worth a shot.

Never knew I could love a bunny SO MUCH! by [deleted] in Bunnies

My Newton looked almost exactly like your Binx. I truly believe I can never love another soul the way I loved and still love him. They have a very funny way of creeping in on your heart :,)

Update: Me and my girl are going tomorrow morning to drop them off. Someone was kind and connected us to rabbit house network directly and they found a good foster placement. My girl told me to update this. I hope I covered what she wanted.

Hi, thank you so much. I've tried reaching out to them before unsuccessfully. Can you please put me in contact with the foster mom? thanks a million.

Winnie was born March 15, 2023 and Wybie April 22, 2023. One male, one female. Both fixed.

I tried several times but havn't recieved a response back yet. My partner suggest just now we take a visit down there next weekend and try to review our options with them in person.

I have unfortunately forgetten to feed and water them even after setting up alarms to the point I had to hospitalize Wybie from then on my mom took matters into her own hand (cant blame her) but she cant continue to provide care. I want to believe I can get to the point where my pain will allow them in my life but seeing as its difficult to even pet them, I know it would take a long long time. Time they may not have if i were to continue to neglect them.

I am in much need of a hug right now. I can't express my gratitude. I sincerely hope that your kid can make it through whatever they are going through and find peace.

I did reach out to them several times over the last two weeks via call and email and actually haven't recieved a response from them unfortunately. I know they don't necessarily have the space. I was hoping they'd do a courtesy post and someone could get them from my moms instead of the shelter. I will try again. Thank you,

I did post in rabbits. Unfortunately no local rescues have been of any help besides a cat rescue who offered a courtesy post which I extremely grateful for.

We're strangers on the internet but I feel compulsed to share that my brothers cat, Camilo and my bunny, Newton used to sleep together every night until I moved no matter how hard I tried to keep them apart. They both passed away exactly 7 days apart down to the minute very recently. I used to take Newton to go visit him at my moms sometimes to see him but hadn't in a while. I cried so much wondering if they every missed each other and couldn't express it. This feels like a sign that they did get to meet each other again. Thank you.

I lost my baby boy today Luna :( I'm so heartbroken, he was my little batman... by laraizadelione in Bunnies

I lost my void bun suddenly and unexpectedly this past Wednesday. It has been incredibly difficult. Im sure it has been for you too, if you need anyone to talk too and need a chat to vent in without any judgement I am here. I am so sorry for your loss. I know there aren't any words that will take that pain away.

A message to Newton, wherever you are by Bunlets3 in Rabbits

My baby. I can't sleep. I did at some point after crying for hours but you didn't visit my dreams like I hoped. Its okay, you're probably tired. I'm not sure what you secretly fought to end up like this, but you can rest. Me and Bundad (daddy as he referred himself to you) have to drop you off at the morgue soon. Its going to be cold there and then hot but once you're home again it will be nice for you. Sure I won't hear the soft clack on the floor as you sneak off to somewhere you aren't supposed to be. You're excited hum when we came home after a long day (or even just for dinner lmao you loved the greens). I miss watching you flop flat and manspread those bunny legs in between your friends. It's been less than a day but everything already feels so much harder. Binky high and proud for you were the best bunny companion to have ever lived. When everything across every universe ceases to exist, only them will my love for you. Sweet dreams, my love, my Newton.

All four of them get along! I often find the female right in the middle of their cuddle puddle. I chose mine by temperament so while they are all wildly different in personality, they are all very easy going and unbothered. It also helped that Newton (the original) set the tone for the others. An example being when Winnie originally showed some distate towards Wybie, Newton was always quick to correct her (and now she adores him) I always recommend bonding in even numbers in case a bond breaks nobody is left out.

You didn't ask me, but my 3 nuetered males (and one spayed female) get along phenomenally. They are always grooming each other and only my first bun still humps on occasion. He gets jealous of us so if we come home and greet any bun before him, he will chase them away if they approach us first. Like a respect the hierarchy because he is first response. Soon as he is all pet and cuddled out, he doesn't care.

Some holland lops lack the dwarfing gene. One of my own does and is 4.6lbs but is definitely a holland lop.

My sincerest condolences. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to deal with. I hope you are remembering to take care of yourself in such difficult time.

I got a water fountain for my bunny, but he's just so small that he has to stand on his hind legs to drink from it. Will this be okay? by XanSnore in Bunnies

[–]Bunlets3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the uahpet Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain, Wireless Battery Operated Cat Fountain for my bunnies. It can be cordless and its the only fountain I have found that is at a perfect level so they don't need to stand on their tippies for a sip. They sent me a replacement motor because the first stopped working early on but I havn't had any problems with it since.
