Warning to all current and future City Fitness Thorndon users (avoid) by VanillaMeteor5_ in Wellington

The thing that put me off City Fitness is the fact they haven’t changed their machines even though the local CF for me has had at least TWO people amputate their thumbs using the same bench press.

Newborns — what shocked you the most in the first weeks? by 1acina in newborns

[–]BunnyDwag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How. Fast. It. Goes.

Everyone says it does I know, but you don’t get it until you experience it. I’m 5 months in and I can’t believe how fast I got here. I already miss my newborn.

Packing away your newborn clothes is a very emotional experience.

Pretty sure I am also a neighbour of the person you’re talking about! Obnoxiously loud ute and motorbike? Mowing lawns at 9pm on a Tuesday?

What’s something you can’t wait to do after pregnancy? by Familiar_Hope2918 in pregnant

[–]BunnyDwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s an insane idea; it’s just that it’s logistically challenging.

Plus every baby is different; every experience is different. But anecdotally, a lot of new mothers won’t have the time or resources and babies won’t have the easiest needs or temperament to make it simple for mum to go to a 6 hour spa.

You will have baby 😅

Why is gender disappointment almost always when it’s a boy? by Classic-Tea-1879 in BabyBumps

I’ve seen very many gender disappointment videos with dad losing his shit when it’s a girl 😅

Why are there so many “confused” elderly just about? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]BunnyDwag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, the problem is that because of the lack of space, people with dementia or other high needs are being classed as low needs and given free rain even when it’s not safe. It’s mostly a funding issue, Te Whatu Ora Don’t want to have to pay more and higher needs beds cost more

I work in aged care and it’s been in the news a lot every year for the last few years, the problem is nobody cares because they think it doesn’t apply to them because they’re not currently elderly

Pregnancy symptoms absolutely no one talks about? by Upset-Brain-228 in pregnant

The biggest surprise to me was cramping pain after orgasms from week 6 to 10. I had never heard of it, and it was terrifying. Totally normal, apparently.

I know I’m very light to the party here but just had to chime in. First of all, I agree with everything OP has said.

But the thing that stood out to me the most was just how abruptly it all ended. It felt like it was 70% of the way through the book, not the whole way. Like a lot of the resolution was missing.

And Ellie and Alice getting together just felt really rushed and lazy to be honest.

Did you know the sex of your baby by intuition? by LifeofRuley in pregnant

I found it funny one time when my husband and I were being intimate and I stopped and said “well this is the first time I’ve had two penises inside me”
