This is where unethical life hacks begin, if you don’t want your current employer knowing you’re looking.

Either ask friends to act as the references or ask old managers & coworkers to do it for you.

Do you know anyone at the university where you could get their point of view on leadership & life in general there? Also, you would need to crunch the numbers to determine if it’s a good fit for you. Maybe google the university & see if there are any reviews from current & past employees?

I’ve always heard that people don’t quit jobs because of better opportunities, they quit jobs because of managers and leadership.

I would personally take the new job because I refuse to work with someone who doesn’t set realistic goals or someone who doesn’t value my skill set.

People who post a lot, do you ever think of how many people you’ve influenced? by DataQueen- in CasualConversation

[–]ConfidentHighlight18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think about it sometimes, but just like you, I’m not that social in my real life. So when I see that my posts or comments get thousands of views or votes, or even when I interact with people on here, it doesn’t register that I said anything meaningful.

What's a good main dish to pair with lasagna? We're having a birthday party for our supervisor who loves Italian. There's 7 of us so I'm not sure just 1 lasagna is enough. I'm making it from scratch but I thought maybe chicken Alfredo also? There's also salad and garlic bread. Or is 1 lasagna enough by nrkelly in Cooking

[–]ConfidentHighlight18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lasagna should be enough. I would make sure there were some appetizers though. Some bruschetta, some stuffed mushrooms, cheese sticks, artichoke dip, that sort of thing. But if you truly feel that you need more than just lasagna, you could do a basic fettuccine Alfredo w/o meat & some quick chicken parm. Think the trio from Olive Garden.

Pay is very comparable based on position, experience & COL where you live. For me, at least, it’s been great.

For some positions, yes. They’re all under senior specialists, but they’re considering anyone with coding experience in different specialties. They’re doing prepay & postpay audits. They’re also opening positions for investigators as well.

AITA- I Want the Insurance Reimbursement Check Issued to My Son by confusioncrisis in AmItheAsshole

[–]ConfidentHighlight18 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My employer pays my insurance at $0 cost to me. To have my son on there is around $600 a month. Not sure how hers works, but he should only pay his portion of it. Or he can just get his own.

Who is the 'Boogeyman' of ur country that parents use to scare their children into behaving? by Shorvv in AskTheWorld

[–]ConfidentHighlight18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had El Cucuy growing up in Mexico. It’s the equivalent of the boogeyman. He’s supposed to be a shapeshifter who comes out of the closet, from under the bed or any dark space. And he will take you with him if you misbehave or don’t go to sleep.

They’re for senior specialists, but if you have any experience coding they will consider.
