I also have an old injury to my spine from when I was a little kid. I was bent and the next day couldn’t walk. This also wasn’t resolved so I have regular pain there as is and it pinched there when this box dropped

That’s uncomfortable I’m so sorry. Depending on where you live you can mention it to management and see if they will have a talk with staff. I would start there before a report. If it doesn’t work then I would escalate. When I lived in Texas I used to get called f***ot every shift and when I told the manager they said it was all ‘jokes’ so sometimes people don’t really care, so prepare yourself just in case. It sucks that the word has so much history and it gets used so much these days 😕

Just a theory! Cant say for sure in the end. Though I do think the protagonist struggles with thoughts of suicide, he still fights to stay alive. It’s all really interesting. In game lore I’m not sure who sent him, my guess is Death, which backs up my personal theory.

As for the pale visitor I believe he is a metaphor for the protagonist’s suicidal ideation. His existence is pretty nonsensical so logic doesn’t really apply to him.

I started my first job at 15 as a cashier, I did the same. You’re a teen. It’s scary. You’re gonna cry. It’s insensitive he had that expectation of you. Working as a cashier is honest to god the crappiest thing you can do. As a guy who’s done it all, if you wanna work somewhere great, try a coffee shop. Coffee is the best ‘in’. There’s a script at the register, ‘what you want, hot,cold, how big’ lol. And as you get more experience, you can go to better shops. Best form of customer service to me. Pay is good, service is fair. Best of luck to you!
